    The Klim Krios Pro is a $800 helmet after taxes. You would expect perfection in all aspects and it's almost there BUT the visor will NOT stay where you place it. Open it up a few notches for extra air, first little dip or bump in the road and SLAM down it comes! I love everything about this helmet except the hinge plates. They are very cheaply made. It makes me wonder if anyone that actually rides tests them?? It is a $800 helmet WT Actual F?!

    Stock suspension is perfectly fine when the motorcycle is being used as intended, your not doing this. By a dual sport 500…

    Not countering anything you've said about wearing headphones to muffle awareness sounds but me being on a cruiser (Suszuki m109), I wear ear plugs to protect my hearing against motor and wind noises. I do find the responses to your video very helpful.

    If you use transparency mode on air pods 2 it gives you ambient noise but filtered to smooth out loud noises etc. Might work better

    Save your money and get a Bell MX-9 Adventure, adjust the padding to your liking and be done with it. Their helmets are always in stock and they have an assortment of colors and they don't punish you on price for actually wanting a multicolor helmet. Stick with Bell. After so much searching I came back to my original with a future purchase of the same helmet in a different color. In the mean time I bought two shields which can be interchangeable with the upcoming helmet, all very affordable.

    You will need to change out those tyres if you are going into looser material /sand mud. I also changed the spring for a 90KN unit as I am 100kg. This bike is great for most adventure rides until you get to technical single track where my skill levels need to improve.

    I have a question for anyone -- I have always warn a schuberth flippy; C3 Pro, C4 and C5. I've been around the world with them -- on and off-road. That said, I could use more room in the chin and maybe wear goggles... I love for road and off-road alone having a drop down sun visor. Question: Does everyone wear sunglasses in the super hot months -- like over 35 degrees C or over 90 degrees F? I cant imaging riders wear goggles on the road sections so do you flip up the visor and wear sunglasses? I am so curious.

    I chose the arai for same reasons. But Iam not experiencing the vision distortion you talk about . Maybe it’s the tinted visor you have , Iam using the clear one with pin lock

    Thank you for your very thorough comparison review. Arai and Shoei just are not the same head shape. My first Arai was a late 80's Mamola F1 and I still use Arai to this day but even back then if you wore a Nolan you fit a Arai, if you wore a AGV you fit a Shoei. Never known anyone in my experience to be able to be comfortable with both. You mention distortion of the Arai visor, I've not noticed that in any other review. Does the addition of pin-lock make it any worse.

  • @Elskins
    @Elskins Жыл бұрын

    I think the distortion mainly affects shell size S. Because the visor is the same for all shell sizes. I didn't even try it with the pin-lock.

    Meet a German guy with one of these with about 178.000km on the clock and the bike just sip's a little bit of oil and consumes 5L of fuel under 90km/h and around 8/9 or more L if you go beyond 100. Cool bike altough the one I saw was worn down a little bit for my taste.

    Depends on milage and tech condition. I paid 15K for mine in 2020. You can find some under 10K if lucky and I have seen people asking 30K as well. Not sure if they really go for 30k though. Maybe if it's all stock and very low milage, then for someone it is as a collectible.

    I have to disagree with you as I tried the Klim over a weekend. Bad fit (for my head) noisy, visor to flimsy and uncomfy. I went with the Arai as it has the best fit for me and super comfy and the build quality is second to none and definately superior to Klim
