    22 is the best- I’m not big on the changing tuning mid-play. I wish I’d learned to play at a younger age- I learned at 24. But I love playing (now in my late 30’s)

  • @AdamFontenet
    @AdamFontenetКүн бұрын

    @@quinnquestions39 What? The only way you are going to hear any harmonics from the guitar is if you pick the strings. What are you talking about? You said nothing

  • @quinnquestions39
    @quinnquestions394 сағат бұрын

    @@AdamFontenet im saying so many techniques that use guitar in different ways have been developed throughout time that were at some point not "the way its supposed to be played". pick slides, whammy bars, tapping, shaking the guitar to let it resonate, effects pedals etc. I think it's naively arrogant to talk about how the guitar is "supposed to be played" especially to someone who is likely so much better than you

    Do we need nails for this? Cause like at first I was plucking by my flesh and didn't hear the harmonics but when I tried with my nails it worked so like do we need nails or i just cant do it

  • @helohnukwa
    @helohnukwaКүн бұрын

    No, you don't need nails to play harmonics. It's all about the right amount of pressure. Just lay your finger very soft on top of the harmonics and then pick the string. Too much pressure damps the string and you won't hear the harmonics.
