@@bartosz29 i watched the behind the scenes on two of them, the musical one was my worst nightmares in a story and i watched one to see just where we were and it was an episode of the doctor stood on a landmine, like one copy of the classic era dragged out for a whole story, it was painful to watch, also the doctor crying every second was a bit much, like get a grip doctor, 900 years of fighting evil and crying at every little thing

I think the lead singer of ABC looks the spitting image of the youg Roger Moore when he played the saint in the television series with same name. Both really good looking guys. Can't beat a bit of the "New Romantics " scene!

They replaced the operator with the dial. Now, Clean Coal and steam are being replaced with Diesel and electricity. All obsolete Technologies with magnetic trains that float with no rolling resistance can stop nearly on a dime. The thing about all this modern tech like maglev is the cost to produce and run goes up, the maglev was so expensive that the route built was pretty small by all accounts and the hyperlink hasnt exactly taken off either. I still think its a travesty that electric trains replaced desiel, i mean the grid is mostly non green anyway and the engine is alot safer than the motor aswell

@KeiranCounsellKC1994 The example I sent you is not a maglev high-power 500 K train but a standard magnet levitating train using permanent magnets instead of massive electric magnets. This vehicle can only travel at a maximum of 75 miles an hour, but it does so using no power. As the train moves, it creates its own feedback loop of energy. I saw a toy style example of how it works but I'm not sure where I have stored that video but I'll look for it for you. If you took a pencil and you wrap it along with fine wire creating coil of copper around it like a slinky. Putting a magnet on the each end of a carrier that fits within the slinky, a little push to get it started moving keeps it going endlessly if you link the open ends of the slinky together, it will continuously go in a circle with no outside power. No engine, no electrical consumption except for lighting, air conditioning, etc. A maximum speed of 75 Mph. I enjoy the videos that you have posted. I don't expect to see a magnet anything being built here in America or anything that rides on rail, especially in my neighborhood, no matter where that is. Dream Technology. It seems to me it would be cheap to build, maintain, and operate compared to everything else. Traveling from A to B using virtually no external power or fuel up to 75 mph is bound to have cheap tickets and become profitable. Unaffected by Clean Coal shortages and, OPEC boycotts, and even striking rail workers. The ski lift-style gondolas used in Medellin and the ghettos on the mountains in Brazil also appeal to me on a different level.

@@zAlaska small scale you dont need an electromagnet but bigger scale you do i think because of the weight from what i saw, i saw a documentary on the maglev train and it was such a nightmare they did a short track and then returned to conventional, saying that elon musk us having similar issued with selling his similar hyper tunnle idea, they were considering a similar track to get shuttles up to speed and launch them but it was too expensive. The usa is a bit like the uk when it comes to the rails

If they really wanted another head person in charge to replace JNT someone that may have been compassionate & had a fresh set of eyes, they should have really put it out for tender really, with low funding they really did diminish things and made things unreasonable I still enjoyed many doctor who stories of the classic series of the McCoy era, however they should have been given a larger budget imagine what they could have done!

Rail contraction had been going on for years before Beeching got his hands on the train set. His name gets bandied about as the architect of rail closures regardless when they happened. There some serious mistakes made in sixties notably closure of the Waverley route.
