Fantastic video! I'm just starting to try my hand at some walking videos as I love walking about and I love KZread so thought I'd give it a go. I'm from Newcastle so that's where I'm starting out - it's a great city isn't it?

Pedestrianisation makes such a difference. No need to worry about getting flattened by a big yellow & white bus now! I lived in the North East in the 1970s and again in the 1980s. I left in 1993. I have many good memories of The Toon & The Geordies. I really want to visit soon.

Amazing how Northumberland Street has changed over the years. I still remember getting the old No 8 bus from Ridley Place to Beacon Lough in Gateshead. Never thought it would be pedestrianised. :)

Hey man. I’m currently In Sri Lanka looking to move back to the Uk but this time in a different location than the one I was living with my mum in south London, crawley. I found a really good place in fenham for £230 all included with cool people. But my dad wants me to move to London in kings cross London so I’m near my older brother and mum near gatwick. My goal is ultimately to save money and Invest. My dad says going London you’ll be closer and if something happens to you inNewcastle then no ones there. I do have two good friends down there. Any advice brother? Never been up north to Newcastle. Place I found is in Fenham and I can do a rolling contract after I payed minimum 3 months. Should try Newcastle for 3 months first?

Not a Geordie, but the North East is the" undiscovered country", absolutely wonderful. Jump on the tram down to the cost at Tynemouth, takes me back to how life was 40 years ago, enchanting. The people are so warm and welcoming, love it.

I love Newcastle Upon Tyne. It is not big and has everything you need. Good shops, restaurants, schools, nightlife, housing and also an international airport that connects the world. I would like to explore this city more and hopefully show to the world. The surrounding towns are also very nice and beautiful. Have a nice day 👍💯

A great video indeed, Thank you Sir. Took me 40 years back. I used to live nearby, back of University library during 1981-1983 with my wife. Seeing fenwick again, we used to shop in, can remember, we could also enter through the back door. Also in that street was BHS, Marks & Spencer and Mother care and Lloyds Bank etc. There was Grindlays Bank also attached with the University near Hay Market, we used to withdraw money from through Cash Machine at that time! Lot of memories really. Love you NewCastle upon Tyne.
