  i bought a secondhand desktop that came with this issue. Luckily the seller had hacked the expiry date to a past date. So it was merely a matter of getting this popup and getting rid of it. Tried many links and suggestions but nothing worked. thanks heaps for this solution. 🙏 Not sure if this will work, but considering the depth of tweaks, getting a feeling this should work. 👌

  Windows update files might come back if there is a new update. Temp does come back when you open any application. Restore point will take its storage over the time. But, cleaning the pc is like regular maintenance. It definitely helps in storage recovery instantly.

  Same 140 dll or another dll? If other dll, get the same dll file and replace it. Try reinstalling visual c++ first.
