Why Epson couldn't make the re-setting of the printer counter more straightforward, is beyond me. Downloading programmes - what a faff. They couldn't make it easy could they?
@dingopisscreek7 күн бұрын
You will notice that he skips the part where he has to put in the vertical screw on the panel marked 'Epson 800'. With good reason - it is a sod to get in without dropping it behind the panel and having to remove it to retrieve the screw. I had to put the screw in BEFORE fixing the panel and use a flat head driver to lift the screw so that it would drop into its hole. As I said it is a sod to do. He chickened out and skipped that bit.

Your very detailed instructions were extremely helpful for ink pad replacement and reset of my printer, an Epson XP-630. I followed your instructions step by step. With the soiled ink pad you have to be double careful and use plastic gloves and a plastic bag. In cleaning out the excess ink reservoir I also have a helpful suggestion. Spray Oxi Clean Laundry Stain Remover in the reservoir, swish it around and rinse with hot water. Even drying out the reservoir with a paper towel, the towel was completely clean. The messiest part of the procedure was the easiest. With your fantastic instructions, and my little helpful hint it makes a complicated procedure easier than I thought. Thanks again.

Thank you for this video, it gave me some ideas - one of my burners would only stay on if a pan was covering the problem hob. Read elsewhere that the thermocouple head must be in the flame for the burner to stay on (safety feature). Found that the burner ring and cover had a tiny bit of play and would move toward the thermocouple head by maybe 1mm, after doing this the hob stays on fine. Thanks again for the video - I know what to do if I need to change the thermocouple now.

If the thermocouple has become loose and therefore might sit too far away from the flame even by a couple of mm's....the flame might continually be cutting out. Check whatevers holding it in place and make sure it holds the thermocouple close to the flame Mine works now and i didnt need a new one And p.s...you need to clean the protruding metal thermocouples tip with light sandpaper or a scotchbrite pad to remove carbon etc food deposits which will also stop it working properly
