  Wow that’s great ! If they add much more lithium, front cameras, GPS, bright flashing lights and even a loud sirens alarm (if needed) 🚨 just to make sure they don’t lose location that’ll be cool. I think every boat should have one ready to go

  They should make it autonomous and attach sensors on the boat/ship to detect man over board. Then it should dispatch autonomously and seek out the person in the water. Alternatively the passengers could have wristbands on that activate it on contact with seawater.

  drones for rescue are a great idea, if someone's life jacket had a transponder that the drone automatically flew or steered to would be good, GPS technology is very cheap now, having a drone that automatically knew where the life jacket was in the sea makes a lot of sense, people on the ship would not have to see where the person was, I'm thinking in an overboard situation, deep sea fishing, oil rig workers and now wind turbine fields at sea.

  If you make a slick very thin light board loosely attached to the watercraft, you can haul a person very fast on the water with very little resistance.

  En estos tiempos tan modernos tecnologicamente hablando TODOS los salvavidas deberian tener por "default" una luz estroboscopica que se vea a millas cuando entra en contacto con el agua y un GPS integrado con placa solar para que siempre esten cargados ,instalados desde su fabricación,si quieren llamarse SALVA VIDAS ,requerido por todo govierno a TODO fabricante de estos tipos de aparatos de rescate.Que salgan al mercado con ellos ya instalados probados y certificados y con garantias de funcionamiento si es que los goviernos y los fabricantes verdaderamente se preocupan por las personas y no solo por las simples ventas ,debiera ser una LEY INTERNACIONAL.Mi humilde opinion.

  Debe tener algún tipo de amarre facil de ponerse y suficientemente fuerte que cuando la victima lo haga ,aunque pierda la cosiencia siga amarrado al Dolphin, además un de una luz estroboscopica bastante mas fuerte y gps con un panel solar pequeño que los cargue por si el rescate se tarda mas tiempo o no es posible por problemas de condiciones extremas del tiempo rastrearlos por satelite a ambos.

  Debieran instalar un rastreador en el rescarador que se comunique y busque automaticamente con el salvavidas del que está en el agua(para aquellos como los marinos,que siempre tienen consigo sus salvavidas),así el proceso es automatisado y así la busqueda es automatica no importa la visibilidad.

  Let's develop an automated beach lifeguard system and platform that can be shared with the world to help reduce drownings everywhere. Let's mount a camera every 100 m along shorelines and create a platform that can recognize things like rip tides and their strength, and that can recognize the current relative size of the waves, and that can recognize adults and children entering the water in those areas, and that can then alert all that have registered in the platform to receive such messages. To take it to the next level, then a flying or boat drone (OceanAlpha Dolphin 1 for ex) can automatically be dispatched to the area carrying/towing a floatation device with rope and the ability to help pull people to safety with complete automation and solar charged batteries. This system should include microphones at the cameras and on the drones and be able to detect cries for help in multiple languages as well as the level of stress in the cries too in order help everyone react accordingly. Many beaches have rip tides in relatively the same location every time so let's simply anchor a floatation device every few meters in those locations which will help as a visual warning too as well as hang an easily accessible floatation device with rope and shoulder strap every 50 m or so down every shoreline everywhere too. It's worth it. #OpenSource
