  That is not an original black SS uniform!!! Originals didn't had lower outside pockets. A 'Das Reich' cufftitle was never issued on an earlier black SSVT uniform.

  The soldier is a US army Air Corps enlisted private as it appears (no rank chevrons). He earned two medals, the world war 2 victory medal, and the second one I cannot verify. The German was an officer in the Luftwaffe, appearing to be wearing the shoulder insignia of a German brigadier general and wearing officer collar tabs. He wears the iron cross ribbon and a iron cross first class. He looks to also be wearing wound badge second class with no background in the badge.

  You can see that he has the iron cross and the luftwaffe badge, and he was a pretty high ranking officer by the title and the iron cross. He must’ve been through hell to get it.

  Greetings from Finland! Great to see this. The smallest Lottas were only preschoolers. 😢 They would knit mittens, watch babies etc. Ps. The sad fact is that Germany was the only one willing to help us fight off Russia. So no, we were not n*zis. Just people trying to protect our land and culture.
