My doubt without clearing the area, how they can switch on the engine. It's a hazard right? 2 engines are also in operation, very dangerous

The very first push I ever did was a 747-200 at northwest airlines in the late 90s and it was an open tug, I was almost wetting my pants for misjudging the angle but my trainer at the times said if you think something is wrong stop gently and reset and observe what you did wrong and correct it, nobody is pushing you son remember you are in control. I used this method to train others on the ramp now and it really is a great concept to use especially for new rampies.

Oh man anybody that is assigned to push this plane out, has to have adrenaline of excitement because 1 it is the largest Boeing aircraft next to the 747, 2 because of how massively big it is when your on the ground standing right next to it along with having to understand how much it takes to turn along with making it that perfect, and 3 because of the SOUNDS! Like that is pure music to my ears.

Another one who thinks the PIC needs to be directed to the lead in line…..? Sad. And then missed stop on line by a foot? Auto park needs recalibrated!! Probably walked down the “yellow line”, looking for FOD….

Here in Peru first we disconnect the tow tractor and after the tow bar of the aircraft and the tractor turns around and connect the bar to the tow tractor.

Working the ramp at YUL, sometimes I wish our airport was designed simply. The crazy shit they make us do on push at some gates is hilarious, all good fun though the boring 90 degree gates make pushing more of a chore than fun.
