For a twist out would you recommend using the same products but just swapping out the last gel for a foam? So for example Dear Mama, 808 and then Crazy Sexy? I have medium to course strands, medium density, course surface texture, tight coils.

I agree about needing more moisture I just ordered the Dear Mama from the doux and will be repurchasing and retrying (I didn’t feel like I used it well or need more time to play with it / honestly felt like my hair needed more smoothing during styling). Have you recently deep cleansed your hair? Silicones aren’t all bad we just have to remove them properly for the hair strand to “drink” water during the wash day process.
@sphanksjohns10 күн бұрын
@@JameelahEvans Yes, I actually have to deep cleans each time I use a silicone. I do clarify on a regular basis after several washes as well. It must depend on each person’s cuticles, because I can do well as long as I stay away from silicones. Then I get excited about a product and want to try it even though it has silicones. Within two days, I have to re-wet my hair. I am 68 years old, my hair is completely gray; so I am sure that I am missing some of my natural lipids. I have been natural all of my life. @JameelahEvans7 күн бұрын
Hey there! A spray leave-in or light leave-in cream would be best to moisturize and then you can define your curls with foam for an airy hold. Gel and heavy creams will weigh your strands down and are not recommended. Once the hair is completely dry you can think fluff to you liking for fullness and volume. Hope this was helpful. 🫶🏾🩵 Thank you for watching and for inquiring.
