  I wouldn't say your character choice is bad. There are no straight up "bad" characters in the game that aren't worth playing. You just have to get used to how the game plays and learn a couple of bread and butter combos you can do. I would highly recommend the mission mode since it functions as the big tutorial for the game. It will explain the basics of combo structure, meter usage, as well as tips for how to deal with every character in the game.

  You can also set up online training rooms which is how I liked to teach a bunch of my friends how to play.

  At the beginning of a round, when youre on the mother ship, you put the mother ship data in the cartridge slots to the left of the starting area and they add different effects to your runs.

  I really appreciate that Capcom wanted to let us build whatever party we wanted. I will probably keep the Pawns fairly minimal. Shantra the old mage lady is awesome. I'm thinking about becoming an Assassins as soon as the game lets me.

  Make sure all your other controllers are unplugged before you start up the game. If that doesn't work, it might be a compatibility issue.

  If you have 8 buttons i do: 1-Light attack, 2- heavy attack, 3-dodge, 4-N/A 5-Jump, 6-N/Ag, 7-N/A, 8- N/A This makes the three buttons on the top easy to work with. The main thing is to have jump and dodge somewhere under your thumb.
