Join me as I go metal detecting in the fields of Suffolk & Norfolk which are bursting with history and artefacts just waiting to be discovered! I've got my usual kit with me, the Minelab Manticore metal detector using the All Terrain Fast program with slightly modified settings to give me good depth, XP MI6 pinpointer and Minelab spade.

Your silver coin is a love token and will most likely be William III 👍
Medieval bronze pot rim 👍
Love the relaxing music in the background.
Hey mate, I think that first item is a part of a purse bar. It's the loop that supports the leather purse 😊👍
I had no idea 😄 I’m sure you’ll be back with us soon now harvest is happening mate 👍🏻
@Hiddensuffolkdetecting would love that mate 👍. Still waiting for harvest to start here 🤞🤞
Some good finds. Love the barrel tap.
Been waiting for this …
Hola amigo, aquí llegando a la aventura, éxito en tus búsquedas amigo, te envío un gran saludo y un gran abrazo desde chile 🙋♂️🇨🇱👍🙏🤜🤛🗝️⚔️⛏️💍🗡️💪

Great day out as always, many congratulations on the new arrival.
Ps I'm commenting as I'm watching if you hadn't noticed lol 😅
🤣 I appreciate it mate ☺️
Blimey mate, so much silver 😊
And a 3rd, wow 😮
And another one, well done mate 🙌👌
Nice cut quarter to start with there mate, looks like a voided long cross of Henry III to me 👍😊
The little bronze mystery 'nubbin' at 34.00...might it once have been attached to the top 'plate' of an AS Small Long brooch? There would have been three and in my experience, they did get detached and turn up as Suffolk finds.
Congratulations and thanks for the vid!
Congratulations on the new arrival. These latest Minelab detectors are awesome. I have the Equinox 600 & the smallest of targets are turning up, including quarters. Well done with yours.
It’s amazing how they find such tiny targets! Minelab all the way 👌🏻
Another great video, 3 cut quarters is unbelievable. Congratulations to you both new baby ❤
Thanks Darren mate, 1 cut quarter is rare let alone 3 in a few hours out in the same small area 🤯
@@Hiddensuffolkdetecting fantastic day
Congratulations! Lots of silver to cross littleones palm with 🙂
Thank you 😊 Another detectorist in the making 😆
@@Hiddensuffolkdetecting You're welcome! Hehe on absolutely!! 🙂
Another great video take it in turns too sleep with the head phones on, Thanks enjoyed this one.
😆 thanks mate!
Cracking finds mate👏👏👏. Just curious on what settings you use. I found a hammered vdi 9 the other day. Now I dig loads of foil haha. Cheers
Thanks mate, I use all terrain fast and adjust the recovery depending on the iron level I hear on the patch Im searching. If it’s heavy iron, il run it at 6 or 7, less iron 5 or 6.
@@Hiddensuffolkdetecting Yes, similar to how I use it👍 Thanks for taking the time. Appreciated 👍
Congratulations on the new addition to the family mate, another brilliant video, well done on the silver👍
Thanks mate 😉
Good selection of finds coming up. Always great to see history being rescued. Happy hunting out there.
Thanks mate, harvest is coming so there’ll be plenty more to come!
I also use the Manticore. The best detector I have tried. Still impresses. Found a shot for an air rifle of approx. 35 cm deep. Like your channel. big fan. K.Gamst Norway.
It’s a brilliant machine isn’t it, I had my doubts when I first heard about it but it has surpassed my expectations and has increased my finds massively. Manticore all the way 🤜🏻
Congratulations on the new baby. That machine with the small coil on good land is on fire and seems to love the silver. Superb
It does mate, it’s so light too!
Congrats on the little one mate, you were surprisingly cheerful for the lack of sleep! That little cut quarter is nice isn’t it, manticore pulling that out no problem! Nice one 😁
😂 I watched it back and thought the same!! I definitely felt it later though, it’s a beast isn’t it, I’ve got some Saxon ground to try it out on soon 🤞🏻
Excelente video y hallazgos amigo, saludos cordiales desde chile 🙋♂️🇨🇱⛏️🗝️🗡️💪🙏👍🤜⚔️🛡️👏💍
A round-up at the end would be nice.
@@jonathanstigner6345 I didn’t have the time on the day to do it sadly
Congratulations on the new arrival, night shifts are hard work!
@@SarahJackson-qy2fl thank you Sarah, they certainly are 😴😅
What camera do you use?
It’s an iPhone 14 Pro mate
I can’t wait to find my first coin. I don’t even care if it’s a modern spendable 🤣🤣🤣
😆 I do love a good coin, I had an old 10p too 😂
Huge congrats on baby boy 😁
Thanks mate ☺️ I miss my sleep though! 🫣🤣 thanks for watching
@@Hiddensuffolkdetecting haha. I’ve got a 2 yr old daughter and I’m 50 so think how the sleepless nights are hitting me 🤣🤣🤣. It’s all worth it tho. Enjoy your time away with family and hope mum and baby doing well. Take care and catch ya soon, hopefully.
Yay. Been waiting for another vid. Great day 😁
I don't think it's a musket ball. It could be the ringer from the inside of a croatal bell
Your patience paid off lots of signals the little hammered did jump around on vidi 23 then iron 23 iron! I think I would have missed that left in ground for someone else 😅
Omg.. interesting medieval finds.. Congratulations maan! Love that hammered! Big support from your metaldetecting friends from southern Europe!
Hello, today was my first time with manticore and maybe is a noob question; the case is that in all metal, ground give me a constant 36-38 big red ferrous number, for me is like im detecting in a sea of iron where the detector must try to find the good targets, and it seems like it lose so much effectiveness... i tried with a medium coin and while in air gives me a decent depth, if i cover it with some ground it became invisible for the detector, like no signal at all while buried less than 8 inches [27/] I tried ground balance but was kinda imposible in that field, everything is 36-38ID. Also tried removing all metal and yeah, no more big red numbers, but the target still invisible... any idea what should i try next? thanks
Congrats - some great finds there. BTW I'm glad to hear you're getting on well with your Pro-Find 40. Mine seems to have a mind of its own. While it is undoubtedly very sensitive and accurate, it drives me around the bend as it constantly seems to need recalibrating to stop it bleeping away at absolutely nothing. Maybe I just ended up buying a semi-faulty one, but it really can be a pain in the butt when it wants to be!
Found one of them combs myself, early 1900s I think they are
The surface find at 6.28 is bronze Tudor button
Brilliant thanks for the ID 👍🏻
Does it improve the rain resistance andWhere can I get the headphone covers
They were from Swing and Dig Detectorist mate, not sure about weatherproofing but they reduce the wind noise which is great
Welcome to the 9 inch coil club had mine a few weeks now but not been out lately due to some commitments so hope to get out soon bet you’ll be getting the motly spade soon great bit of kit all the best great video too Shaune in Kent 👍👍
😆 cheers Shaune, my lead and tiny trash finds have certainly picked up! Not sure on the Motly spade, I like my Minelab spade to much 😅
As usual, awesome watching. Thank you.
Appreciate that, thanks for watching 🙏🏻
The "comb" is actually off of mechanical clippers for shearing sheep. Keep up the great videos and happy hunting 👍
Ahh ok, any idea of age?
Great coil , doubt if you will take it off !
😆 It’s just so light! Can’t see why I’d ever go back to the 11 now!
Thanks for a great video good variety of finds
Cheers John, and thanks for watching 🙏🏻
You are going to love that coil. You'll never take it off the machine.
😆 it’s certainly living up to this name! I haven’t had enough time to really compare it yet though and the fields I want to take it on are all in crop at the minute 😩
23.55..... A Curry Comb for grooming the mane and tails of horses. (Also cattle tails if showing).
Brilliant, thank you 🙏🏻
Horses main and tail comb 😊
Brilliant thank you 🙏🏻
