What is the evidence of dog-assisted excarnation? (Are there dog tooth marks on the bones found? Did Romans document this practice once they arrived in the region?)

I was looking for a video regarding 3D and digital heritage for my university project, and stumbled upon this one. There's really no important information in this video. The lecturer just introduce the basic stuff the user do for 3D recordings and introduce some works.

I met my wife on the early version of WC when it came on a CD, Worlds Chat Gold. Ground zero was in the center pod of a space station . This was well before the corporate and user created spinoff. Today 6/28/2024 we have been married 23 years. There was once a news clip hosted on the newer site that me wearing my avatar appeared in. Woodchip was my user name Auntie Sue was my wifes user name. I also built an"estate" in a sister program called Active Worlds. at coordinates 536n 330e that i built in 1998, Surprisingly its still there.

Fascinating! I recently got interested in Wales' holy wells by accident, having visited St Winefride's Well and a nearby ruined Ffynnon Fair; and soon I hope to visit St Dyfog's Well near Denbigh. (Apologies for any inaccurate spelling).

Hello, great video. I wonder if copper pointed rods were heated and pressed with fine flint chips, then used in those drills. The smaller grit like chips would cut through much faster than a single chip. Copper was used in the Neolithic period. I also had this idea on a huge scale bow drill with the same embedded copper rod for drilling rock. It would leave the pattern left at unfinished Egyptian monuments. But i think they used sand and water as a cutting paste.

Enjoyed that and have been thinking a lot about the spiritual and ritual beliefs woven into every aspect of Bronze/Ironage life. Like you say the effort invoved in building even the smallest of the hill forts is considerable , yet where I'm from in the Scottish Borders(Peeblesshire) there is an abundance of hill forts some of a large size for presumably a not large population .Could a belief system held accross tribal bounderies by priests or the like also allow to share and or instruct resources and labour ?.

OMG! DR Alison Sheridan......How on earth did a massively intellectual, feminine, hilarious soul, manage to endure those cold masochistic, Higher Education, warlords, institutionaly sourced from those Oxbridge, stone 'Halls', of malnutritioned, failed-warrior, wisdom? And all due resoect from an 'irreverend, decrepit, independent psycholigist', 'hot on the trail', of those who commanded our enigmatic, Pictish Stone, symbolic language. (Professor Katherine Forsyth, 'Extrordinaire', imho). You have joined most of my neurodiverent-sourced, dots, as a unique intellect, and archaeologist. I, on the other hand study human behaviour, experientially. Please allow me to comment, graciously, as time is of the essence pour moi. I note: The guys say 'Halls'..the matriarchs say, Community Centres. Profesor Christiansen, in his multi-disciplunary, landmark work, from Copenhagen evidences that 5,000years, BP...99% of neolithic British, Y chromosomes, were replaced for two reasons. Plague, and the Yamnaya, Warrior, pastoral, young War-Bands, entreprenneurs, from the Caucases and Black Sea, nomad cultures, (Iranian-Steppe, genetic mixture, or Rb1 and Ra1). He also narrates, how these genocidal migrations, are evidenced, by pit burials, of parents and children tied together, before being killed. This is so, that sons can never avenge, their parent's murders. And yes...the circle of life endures... Female nuturance and loving families. Our neurological competitive neurons, manifesting as warriors, in order to 'secure' our environments, and in maturity? Let's set up a wee business-venture, to fulfill our creativity, make us narcissists a buck, and satiate our son's bloodlust..... Hence..a jade axe, four months in the making, if you can just find that mythylogical source? Comments and insights welcome, please. [email protected], thanks.

I have discovered 2 petrified dirt clods in my landscaping and these are Pre-Historic stone age Indian artifacts from the past and they have Humanoid faces crudely carved on them. I live in a area that has been taken over by mans progress and they have disregarded any past history and have been using unearthed stone age artifacts as landscaping and I have been very fortunate to have been the only one who has discovered this and I seem to the one who is reporting my finds on a KZread channel. 95% of my finds come from homes that I have lived in, In the last 12 years and many have humanoid faces carved on most of all my finds.

Maybe a symbol of property ownership? Each ball represents a specific land area. Sort of like stone deeds. When you conveyed the property you could hand the stone over to another symbolically.

I have long thought that there was a tool that was between throwing stones and an atlatl. This is a huge discover for me. I've never heard of them and was frustrated watching the video for twenty minutes without a clue to what they were. I had to stop the video and google search it. I have been accumulating a great deal of information on how a simple stone is one of the most effective weapons known. Yet it is totally ignored. Your Bligh, from Mutiny on the Bounty had the man beside him killed by a simple stone. There are countless records of stones killing and driving away small armies. Just last night, while reading a book about Alaska, I copied this"(the Indians) slaying in the morning with stones 8 out of a covey of ptarmigans". I believe that an archeologist would ignore a stone lying beside Otzi the ice man. I have no doubt these carved stone balls were thrown with a stick. The grooves were used as an attachment. I would like to experiment with copies of these. On a side note, last year was my 44th archery season. I've made bows and arrows for many years and harvested several dozen deer with them. Thank you for showing me these.
