With the teacher thing, I find engaging with it is the best approach. If u wanna be a little shit you can ask them to explain why you won, and why your stuff worked if u wanna.

I've lost to a rear naked choke a few times but some of them use improper techniques. I don't like having my trachea crushed, so after I tap, I remind them of the correct form. So they're not freaking killing me. Edit - i also don't have much experience. Just a green belt.

Since I can remember, our father used to lecture us. We are three brothers who used to fight a lot, and he would really give us wisdom back then. Not only with words, if you know what I mean. Anyway, he would sit us down and talk to us about anything, really. He would often address the misbehavior and then talk about life or tell us some life stories, while we had to be quiet with tears running down our faces. Those stories were so good and captivating; they really taught me so much about people, life, human emotions, human motives, and so on. I feel like my brothers and I went through a boot camp every time he would lecture us, as if we were becoming some kind of spies or agents. I really look back at it and miss those times, although it wasn’t so nice while we were in them. To get to the point, there is only so much knowledge you can share, and after 18-20 years of lecturing, I had heard them all. But my brothers and I had to sit through them for 30 minutes to an hour. You would know the exact story or message he was going to tell, but you just had to steel yourself through it until he felt like he was done and let us go. Because of that, I built resilience to dealing with emotional stress (I am talking about anger where you are so frustrated that you clench your teeth, tears running down your face, your fist wanting to meet your father’s face, and your brother’s face while he was sitting next to you because you two just fought and now you have to listen to a story you have heard for the third time this week and sit still for an hour) while somebody is lecturing you. To be more specific, in your case, I think you said it correctly that it is more of an ego thing for people. After they lose, they want to feel good about themselves, so they start to lecture you, so they can say "he learned today" (Kevin Hart reference). But anyway, what helped me sit through those lectures was to understand why the person is doing it in the first place. For example, my father only wanted the best for us, and this was the best he could do. Looking back, he really did a good job, and so did my mother! In your case, you could look at it as letting the person feel better about losing when you let them explain something to you.

we often make jokes about "gratuating from our fathers school" because we are now capable of thinking like him, or when he feels the need to tell stories again we make the joke "You failed the class" or "you failed school", aynway, i would say you could also gratuate at our fathers school of life, because of the way you think about things. So i don´t really think you need any advice or something because it seems like you got the answers already
