  I live about an hour west of the lake also now. Been in the river and on the lake in boats, but not one that small, lol. Caught my PB largemouth in that river!!!

  You are absolutely correct & not at fault for anything. This Karen is an IDIOT for taking her kids to the boat ramp to swim. It is not safe. Go to the swimming area or beach area.

  I just checked Florida and it is illegal to swim at boat ramps. And besides that it is just plain stupid to swim in a boat ramp

  Boat ramps are for launching and retrieving boats, not for swimming and not for fishing. Game wardens will explain that to violaters.

  Had a similar experience at our city boat ramp once. Had to yell out i was coming in to the parents to move their kids away. The launch was clearly marked too. Some people i tell ya! You were in the right, absolutely. 🚤👍

  You’re in the right…. I had about the same thing happen a couple years ago with two drunk Mexican guys that had the ramp blocked with jet skis and 8-10 kids in the water. It was a mess, I ended up calling the sheriffs department, it was crazy…

  Boat ramps aren't very good places to swim anyway. Fish hooks tend to fall out of boats there and you risk stepping on them.

  My girlfriend took a bad fall Sunday trying to avoid a woman who had her kids swimming at the local boat ramp. People just don't G.A.F. about anything today. Knowing you are putting everyone in danger and trying to blame others when it goes bad is the reason a lot of fights start at ramps. She needs her brakes checked and just maybe her attitude would improve.

  😂😂 in no way are you in the wrong bro I live in the bayous of Louisiana and most of our boat ramps have swimmers with latters on the side docks but they know not to be in the launch area to swim but to stay on the sides of them. some even have kayak landing/swimming areas

  I’ve been hooked in the ass with a Wart that was also hooked to a seat! And I was alone in the boat. Had a little makeshift on the water behind the back pocket, knife and needle nose pliers surgery. Highly recommend Not doing that.

  It was irresponsible of her to have her children playing right next to a boat ramp. Do people have the right to complain when they walk into a car wash and ask why no one told them to bring an umbrella? Just ignorant.

  Common sense for recreational swimming and boating is safety first. Swimming in a boat ramp area is just plain dangerous. Don't put kids in danger. The same goes for boating in a swimming area. You were just fine
