Realistic if you presuppose you have all the tools and knowledge, an indoor workspace and an emotional support animal.
Great video !
Good vid, I had no idea the door strips were so easy to remove 😮, think I might change mine myself if I can get hold of some, incidently did you get the wheels refurbished on this one?
Yes they’re really straightforward to change. RE the wheels, I did a DIY refurb on these. If you go to my channel page there’s a dedicated video showing the process 👍
@JohnnyGetsCash thanks for getting back to me!, I will have a go once I've found some as I really thought they'd be glued in or something so was amazed they weren't! I see, I need to get mine done as they're getting quite corroded on the inside of one of them to the point where it keeps leaking air, hopefully it won't be too expensive, glad you did a gearbox service on that one as its something that often gets overlooked on the ZF gearboxes :)
When initially sanding with the 600 to remove the edges how do you not go through the base coat? Thanks great video.
Quiero hacer lo mismo, algun dia con mi feroza f300 año 99, inspirador trabajo, muchas horas a lo que va en este capitulo
Very Good work❤❤❤
That was beautiful.
Wat size tyres and rims
How much would I have to pay to get this done by someone? In Berkshire :)
Proper! I would love to buy a car from you!
♥️Exactly what I needed thank you!♥️
Great information on that, perfectly presented. Kudos to you.👍
That was very good and very informative, wish i was mechanically minded like you are!, btw my x type has the washers on the bumper too but mine is SE spec so you might have gotten one of those as theres more of them about :)
I've never painted cars before but I do paint houses and the most important part to any of the paint jobs I've ever done has always been the prepping in the priming. If you get these either of these two stages wrong, nothing will look good from there on..
Block the paint with cardboard 👍
Hey man loving the series 👍🏻 where do you buy most of your cars?
Thank you. I buy from a variety of sources. Some direct, some through auction, some brokers and others via wanted ads. To be honest sourcing is a full time job in itself!
Great attention to detail as always 👌
replacing one spring? lazy. thinking lights and screen washers are all they check on mot idiotic. Painting the other rusty spring bodging and dangerous.
I had one spring changed on the advice of a mechanic (and coincidentally the same person who MOT’d the car). This is not lazy or dangerous in anyway. RE MOT checks, as mentioned these pre-checks are simply the basics that one may as well do prior to an MOT. Obviously we can’t checked everything however my attitude is that if the car failed or was advised on anything potentially dangerous I would then have that item replaced before re-testing. Finally, I didn’t paint the remaining spring. I have no idea where you got that from. So thank you for your rather sour and pointless comment but you are wrong on several levels!
@@JohnnyGetsCash @8:56 springs trailing arm repainted etc so no bother. . Stick to polishing and sending your cars out for a service incase you get your nails dirty.
@@MonkeyHunch1 Maybe I should’ve clarified in case of keyboard warriors…re-coated (with corrosion inhibitor which is painted on).
@@JohnnyGetsCash Corrosion inhibitor should never be used on mechanical parts. It actually says that on the bottle / can. . And i would say it to your face not just on the keyboard.
I know that car. When I used to work at R.S turbo breakers in Charminster the guy used to come in looking for bits for it he bought the 16" 5 spoke wheels from us he paid about £180 for the set
Brilliant looks like mine
Can you make a list of the materials you all use ? Great video !
Awesome job well done. Take care :)
Hi would this method work on headlights , i have the exact same problem, ie patches of laquer that has come away,as i dont want to sandown whole headlamp as the rest of it is good, many thanks Gary
WOW job !
dd
Fantastic work mate and nice succinct presentation. So once you’ve sanded the paint you don’t need to machine polish it to shine then add lacquer? The lacquer makes it shine?
So much for "5 minute fixes" I guess. Good process explanation though.
What polish would u recommend to bring up the shine of new clear coat
This makes the plastic brittle
Superb jobb! I have the same car, and now I realy want to do this!! Even a cab lift! May i ask the size of the tires?
BC aren’t decent coilovers. They are budget. Ohlins are decent coilovers.
You purchase a car with 150$ in thired world you cant get a chick in 150$ 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
would be cool to see more of the technique in how to spray etc. this went by too fast. little bit too much yadda yadda
Great video, I’ve found it for sale and I’m pretty sure you’ll get what you’re asking for it. Those who know what it is will definitely snap it up, hell I’d be interested myself if I knew I could talk the missus round, but that’s not going to happen this side of hell freezing over. 🤣
Wish I had been on the.ball with your beautiful ZS , would have loved to be the new owner.
Great video. I liked all the cars, but when you got that Landrover I almost died - those things are money pits - owned one for a while it was just a disaster to keep up that expensive maintenance.
Good work. Simple and fast. Keep up with this.
Top work again! What was the blue rust product and the black spray costing you used on the underside? Thanks
I do love my Shadow Grey 2007 X-Type X400 Estate. Not the perfect condition by any means, but interior is near mint! Usual cosmetic blemishes 🙌🏼
Enjoyed this one Johnny, look forward to the update when it sells. Keep the content coming as it really does work well.
Love the transformation 👍 nice truck
Nice work. What product did you use on the faded plastic bumper? Thanks
Thanks! This was a product called ‘303 protectant’ - it’s awesome stuff!
Thanks man, my red paint came off while sanding...
Lovely motor, a credit to you. I remember Subaru owners flashing or waving to eachother, the only other csr ive owned where that was common was the 'classic' Mini!
WOW indeed! Very cool, I remember these very well. I didn't realise they came with trick suspension and a power hike. I know you're not keeping it on steels but it looks kinda cool on them. I imagine modestly banded gloss black with chrome beauty rings and chrome centre caps a-la 70s performance American cars. Did they also do a version a little later on in this colour as a 4x4 V6? Or am I mixing memories up?! Regardless, subbed on the strength of this car alone, looking forward to seeing its restoration!
Its rare because it does not have gaffer taped bumpers
Just came up on my channel, never heard of this channel before. Love the story telling and video style, looking forward to more videos!
just because its rare does not mean its valuable its still a mondeo in taxi spec
No music needed. Video and narration are really done.
Wow! I had one of these nearly 20 year ago
