  The thing is, it took me only 27 loops to beat the game. Normally, the loops actually skip a few loops upon looping, meanwhile getting to the Head Housemaiden always only puts you 1 loop forward. It took me exactly 20 loops till I started using tears effectively and travelled to the future.

  Asking questions is fine (though links are blocked in comments) :) - I generally prefer the discord ( discord.alzorath.com is a redirect to it ), but I do maintain a public facing email in the channel's about section (I don't list it plain text usually, since that has resulted in me needing to change email addresses in the past due to spam before...)

  while you can somewhat target farm them, generally I just build them up from playing way too much, and target farming is an item by item basis.

  I still think for Twinked shielded low level chars (ex holy fire pally)…that deaths set, and angelics + cow kings boots and the duskeep lvl17 helm and a solid 4os lvl targe with 40+ @ res is king

  Hey @alzorath How do you go about killing Ubers with Wind Druid if the mercenary has Insight? Duress armor? Or can I go with Treachery Armor and try to find the Crushing blow/Open wounds/Prevents monster heal somewhere else? Thanks for the help!

  Generally, I wouldn't fight ubers with a wind druid - you're pretty much merc-loading with it if you do, though sunders can make it a little more reasonable, but still far from the best druid form for it (this is more for farming normal game areas)

  Does it make sense to put one additional point to Burst of Speed to get to 16? If i used the IAS calculator correctly, this would hit the breakpoint

  I'd generally prefer getting it from equipment, but saving one frame does greatly increase DPS (worth noting, this only applies when dealing with enemies that take more than one hit lol)

  Any idea if Fire Mastery applies to exploding potions? I'm scouring the game for any kind of viable build for it - so far I've turned up precious little. Enchant doesn't apply to it, nor Barb throwing masteries/throwing skills, nor Holy Fire... on that same token, any clue about poison potions with Lower Resist Necro or Venom Assassin or something?

  the Fire Mastery -> Exploding Potion, I'm pretty sure it does NOT effect them (at least in LoD), but it's one of those things that could have changed without noticing (it's also a pain to test accurately in the vanilla client). That said, Lower Resist would boost damage for both of them, Conviction would boost damage for the exploding potion - this is because they cut enemy resists, which just means all damage of that type works better, regardless of source. sadly, and this I can 100% confirm: no plus damage effects (such as Venom) function on throwing potions.

  Get 2X claws with 3 traps 3 light sentry 2 sockets and pop some lightning facets in them. You will be dealing over 18K trap damage per trap. Only downside is the mana consumption sucks.

  D1&2,Fable,Gothic2 ,TES3 these older games that haven't been surpasses are the reason I disagree when people say an Indi game needs some new and unique mechanics to be good. If indie devs set to bringing back the design philosophy of these classics I think they would be plenty successful

  I do think a lot of people have put a disproportionate amount of weight on "do something new", when really - most of the best games don't do that, they just "do something extremely well"

  going to have to farm low level areas for it, due to the skillgroup holy fire is in, so basically you'll be restricted to "up to 3" socket bases sadly. (since the ilvl is going to usually be too low for for 4 sockets)

  @@Beansnyc went and double checked it to be certain, and it is possible to get a 4 socket base with holy fire, but you'd have to get it to drop from enemies who are between level 26 and 36 (10% chance for it to get Group2 staffmods, and you'd need a war scepter or divine scepter - and have it drop with 4 sockets) The really rough part, to get it to actually drop with 4 sockets, you need to be in nightmare. The lowest alvl (and in turns monster level) in nightmare... is 36. Blood Moor, Cold Plains, Den of Evil, The Cave (Level 1), Burial Grounds - that's all the areas it could drop in nightmare, so not really good farming spots (and that's only from mundane, non-unique/non-champion/non-minion mods)

  This game is fully released now for about a week, Campaign included.. Sadly, it is still incredibly difficult, near unplayable on the easiest difficulty!

  Yea, I went to try the campaign and bounced off of it hard... since it's basically going to be hours of setup before you even get really started on any tactical stuff unless you just ignore your starting units and run them in blindly :(

  not innately, but some trigger skills that stun via "Chance to Cast" on the weapon.

  both are solid options, generally vs bosses and for general progression I prefer meditation, but redemption works great for area clears.

  When will you people learn, you don’t leach mana on a LS Zon. It’s mostly elemental damage. You need mana after kill gear. Recommend silkweaves.

  when will "you people" learn, that when geared out like this, the physical aspect of CS and LS hits (which you will generally connect with thanks to conviction), will absolutely leech enough mana to keep you topped off with a solitary source of moderate mana leech. Mana per kill is nice, but it is orders of magnitude more important for javazons due to the nature of their skills (though even then, you're usually better off running a phoenix shield UNLESS running an enigma build, in which case, silkeweaves are viable, since you'd usually be using a spirit to try to counteract at least some of the awful cast rate frames). The build is quite a bit different from just blindly slapping a spear on a javazon - despite what cookie cutters might think.

  Staff barbs are actually able to get on par with maul-barbs with less strength investment ;) (Wand barbs are much more a gimmick, but fun too lol - especially if you get elemental wands)

  This might be the 2nd best set next to Tal's. Awful for PvP but excellent for PvM, especially if you use the sockets wisely. I'd say the only parts that are lacking are the helm and weapon. Still, I'll never forget how amazing I felt when, as a total noob, I finally completed this set. Compared to the trash I was using before, this set felt godlike.

  only other thing is unfortunately decrepify... and their blind will override amp & decrep. (though don't be discourages, "The Birds" is viable in normal, and can make its way through nightmare... it will struggle in hell due to PI's, but can still slowly kill bosses)

  I played Diablo only once - when it just came out. I loved the music and i think that the simple, yet sharp graphics stands well even today. So I'm kind of in a mood for replay + maybe jump on Diablo 2 that I actually never played through entirely. But i'm thinking how the game would look on a modern system with 1600p 16/10 resolution. I've seen some patches for Diablo 2 that made the graphics / view more expanded than it should be which effectively ruined certain moments of surprise designed for the game (you simply see more in your screen view than you are supposed to). So...would a legal purchase of the game be a good / modern patched version with fully enjoyable experience?

  At least for me, the gog version (which is the only online version purchasable at the moment) - is an enjoyable experience. I doubt we'll see it pop up on any other storefronts anytime soon since they had to do some work to get it running smoothly. Worth noting for full disclosure, yes the link in the description of the video is an affiliate link (which gives me a % of each purchase you make on gog for 24 hours after going there), if anyone is uncomfortable with those - just change the "af" prefix to "www" and remove everything after the question mark, and it'll take you to the non-affiliate purchase location
