Sirus Gaming Spot

Hello, This Channel is going to be mostly about Video games. So if your thinking that your going to get a video about how to get a recipe for the greatest cake, then you are must be sadly disappointed (the cake is a lie!). Ok, all joking aside.

well I mostly do reviews now though I do the occasional special videos that consist of top 5, ranking videos, etc.

Ashnard needed a skill like black knights luna. It'd probably leave Ike and laguz at low hp after hitting but yeah.

Been relistening to all of these lately. In the process of moving so good to have playing while packing up. But I have to agree with Forest and the last of us being overrated . I never found it interesting . and had no desire for the second one. But I'm not bashing anyone else...i just personally found it boring. And for the Tales Of Games ....as far as the "trinity" that is the people saying that not the games themselves...that are ridiculous. I think all the 11 Tales Of games ive played are great games. And everyone has their favorites of the lot .

Even though Sephiran betrayed his friends, he had a very sad past, which makes me feel bad for him. I also felt bad for Zelgius, that he had a horrible past too. Betrayed by his family, and all alone. But I love these memories. Thanks for posting this.

Hey guys another awesome episode as always . I was thinking maby a cool topic to throw in there would be jrpgs that made the jump from sprites/2d to 3d . ff 7...tales of symphonia ...dragon quest 8 and so on . and even of you havnt played them you can give your impressions on them as I'm sure you have seen them at some point .

Fun fact: those rainbow things on the ground that shoot red lighting when Nightmare “turns on” are actually restraining devices. If you don’t know, Mundus had trouble keeping Nightmare in check, so he had to use those things to keep Nightmare from escaping the underworld. That is, until Dante becomes more of a problem and unleashes Nightmare in a desperate attempt to kill him.

I didn't know Tales Of Abyss had game over skits. I'm with Swordfish , I prefer to choose my difficulty. A first playthrough for me should be chill, not super hard. If I want a challenge I want to know if the game is good first so a second playthrough is where I seek out challenge. The way I see it is difficulty is the measurement of the developer's confidence in their game because if their game is badly designed and is hard, people will be more likely to put it down than if it's easy and badly designed.

This is what I like about the Valkyrie Profile games, they offer the best of both worlds. I actually disliked the weakness system in Graces because I hated being pushed to use a specific type of attack. I wish the A and B artes were encouraged to be more free flowing as opposed to just one or the other. I used to think that Star Ocean 4 had the best combat in the series till I played Star Ocean 6. The thing that makes 6 better for me is the fact that while 4 has a rush gauge that makes the enemy unstaggerable when filled, 6 does not. Instead Star Ocean 6 uses the VA gauge to dictate whether or not a boss can be stunned. If you blindside a boss with max VA then you will stun them and can wail on them to kill them quickly but if you blindside too much or hold the VA button for the shield, it will drain VA and VA is generated not only by hits but by performing a well timed dodge and in J.J's case, using his parry moves generates a ton of VA. So the ideal way to play J.J is to use the parry counter moves, full up your VA, blindside then use his long winded attack while they're stunned for massive damage. Doing this requires you to have good timing though and also requires enemies to be targeting you. Other characters can do something similar with the well timed dodge but J.J is firmly built around it and is the ultimate character for players who have mastered the game's combat system. I think Star Ocean 6 proves that strategy plays a huge part in Action RPG's, especially when you consider the existence of the Estery Cage and the VA guard (which is how you were supposed to fight the worm boss at the beginning of the game, yeah even I didn't know this at the time). That's the biggest problem with Star Ocean 6, its combat is so complicated that nobody knew how to play it at launch. Even the moves you have for attacks in 6 can have unique properties like I-frames and bonuses for certain situations which can be useful to take into account when performing combos. Spamming boulder crush uses 2 AP per hit and is really slow but using fantasia on a downed enemy deals the same amount of damage to downed enemies as Boulder crush but only costs 1 AP and hits fast to the point that you can use it multiple times for massive damage but against standing enemies it is considerably weaker so knowing when to time moves is crucial and that is one of many examples of this.
