I'm still of the voew that we are "average on both the OL and DL. We are a year older for sure so if we play smarter and the QB, RB and WR can take care of the ball, the easy schedule can manifest 7-8 wins this year. I like both the recruiting and development happening, but I still see "uptick" as being seen next year and the following.

With 9 B1G games, We need 25-30 sacks and averaging 3-4 against the big schools. This is what will show improvement in the trenches.

Makes me feel great to see people trying to diss us already! Haters rising means we are having an effect already. They are already spooked. Rhule has the team buying in, working harder than ever, showing true effectiveness, recruits are recognizing and feeling the magic being generated. He is also already hinting that we are creating a coaching-friendly atmosphere, where young coaches can come in and get training, so that when the top coordinators are recruited to the next level, we will have younger hungrier coaches lined up to take their places.

Love you guys. Like I always says. We were in close games with bad defense n good offense. Last yr we had suspect offense after injuries. A healthy Dylan is worth 3 possessions better a game at minimum. Which is 10 to 21 more points a game. No close games. You will see. Providing defense is defense of course. Can we be professional like Michigan with success? That's step 2.

Could we restart the Freshman team and have walk ons play there? How would this count against the 105 scholarship limit? In addition if we start a “coaches bachelor degree” program that could be used to coach the Freshman team. I would expect the student could only coach after two years under the guidance of the coaching staff. A Freshman defensive coordinator, offensive coordinator and a head coach.

I’m along term Husker fan going back to 1968 Bob Delaney , Tom Osborne ,Barry Alvarez at LB. Iowa coach Ferentz has had longevity in his staff and developed a philosophy and system in his football program comparable to Nebraska under coach Osborne. Utmost respect for him since he followed Hayden Fry. . For a program to have only two head coaches for almost 50 years is the reason for the Hawkeyes success. Granted, no national championships But continuous, long-term winning football. Unlike Nebraska, when you change coaches and football philosophy five times over the last four decades not to mention athletic Directors. It has a major impact on the success of the football program. Coach Matt Rhule is well aware of this. He truly knows what Nebraska football is all about. coach Rhule will make Nebraska relevant again, with winning competitive football teams. Maybe not dominant year in and year out but a culture of competitive winning football. GBR !!!

  • @stephencostello3174

Agree. Except the last part. Matt Rhule knows what made Nebraska great in the past. He has made every move to replicate the 90s. Great talent across the board. Add in actual development? Going to be amazing. The facilities? Top in the nation. NIL? Enough to pay for what we need. Not going to spend millions on unproven talent, but will offer actual game changers. The fan base. The ACTAUL development of players. Speed everywhere. Elite QB, RB room with 4 absolute ballers. TE room with elite elite talent in the room. WR room possibly the best in program history. Defense. TW has players actually playing instead of using them like a robot. Lastly but probably MOST important? Culture. Making this team believe in itself. HUGE. 24OURS❗️❗️❗️ For a reason. LFG GBR ☠️☠️☠️☠️

@@stephencostello3174 I don’t know about that this is the year that should begin the turn around . We haven’t won yet, but this year will tell the story . @jesusrivera743 yes sir. I believe Nick Saban has an easier time to get all the great talent because it is a different era since we were dominant. We still recruited at a high level, but Nebraska relied more on development. Turn good talent into great talent. Saban pretty much started with great talent . That said, once Nebraska starts winning, more and more great talent will come to Nebraska knowing Rhule has players in mind at the top. DR is a freshman. A damn great one. Can he be elite day 1? He has the weapons. Another day closer to the solution. Fall camp fixing to start. Then gameday. I think this year will be special. No injuries in fall camp PLEASE. Let's Gooooo GBR ☠️☠️☠️☠️

@@stephencostello3174 Not for anything but Saban saw how Coach Osborne did it early on . Maybe top 20 recruiting classes and walkons although the southeast is a more fertile recruiting territory you are right though great longevity in coaching staffs and development of players was the key, Long live the triple option and power I football . A few years early on the Huskers were a game away from being national champions. In the 90s, though they put it all together . Could’ve won three in a row or four in total. The losses to Penn State, Florida State and Clemson haunt me to this day. The game has changed time has proven that you can go undefeated and still not win the national championship. Rhule knows the Cornhusker formula . Thrilled that we got him.My brother here’s to a resurgence of Nebraska football and successful season. GBR !!!

Nebraska’s ability to improve their past rush and put constant pressure on the opposing teams quarterback is key for the defense. Only way to move the ball on the Huskers will be through the air. The cornhuskers face a few teams that have good offensive lines when it comes to past protection and good passing quarterbacks. Illinois and Purdue come to mind.

IF, IF our Huskers defense can make another step forward, especially in the turnovers and with the addition of Dylan on offense, we could flip our negative turnover margin, one of the worse in country, to a positive net watch out. Dylan is the real deal, and he knows it and is very comfortable and confident in his skills. We always have talent on the team, but we were always missing the key 🔑 to the engine, and now we have a guy who can deliver the ball anywhere on the field and do it accurately. I'll say our floor is 8-4, for the ceiling I'd say 11-1, but if we go into that game 7-0 and the Huskers have been dominating, that game with the BUCKEYES could be a lot closer than people think...then we have to get the other monkey off our back this year and that's losing a game to a team we have no business losing to. I will say one game at a time. Heck, if we can make it to 7-0 HUSKERS pull off the huge upset against those BUCKEYES or finish 11-1 and COACH RHULE has his biggest turn around in rebuilding programs ever while winning COACH of the Year and making it to the playoffs...that would be a dream come true for US HUSKERS FANS....
