Mine just arrived today, I'm totally amazed by the level of quality on offer.
Sleeper, right?! And I love the charm of this movement.
Needs more AR coating then I’ll buy it
I think some of the issue is seeing the watch under the studio lights, and even the outside shots on video. I'm trying to emphasize all the aspects of the watch, but it does look better in person. The black isn't even close to being captured on video.
Great review! I’ve bought the same but no logo. Fantastic watch. Congratulations for your good work and thanks
No logo is a great option for those that want a simple dial, or just don't like the name. This style of watch was traditionally blank anyway! Thanks for your compliment!
Liked bro, thanks
Glad you got it fixed!
Where do I find out the gasket size on my Citizen Eco Drive?
You could measure it, but probably better to match it up. You can buy a bag of assorted sizes and dig around. Maybe a watchmaker or modder can chime in on best practices for this...
This is the 3rd best way. 😊
😂 what's 1 & 2? Natural, CUT IT!, then this?
Best, again in my opinion, is to thread the main strap through the 3rd loop and then put the watch onto the free single piece. 😊
6d watch 500d in tools
Haha! I didn't really realize how many tools were in this video! But, they're all cheapies, except my dust blower. Nowhere near $500, but I have been thinking about upgrading some tools!
For what it's worth, one shouldn't complain at all...😁😁😁😁😁😁
Yes, very high quality for the price.
perfeito, comprei e amei
Tem um brilho ótimo!
I have V3. Watch fab. The bracelet is truly bad bad bad. Nightmare to adjust.
Budget beauty! I didn't have problems sizing, but it's a bear to take off and put back on the watch head. I'm sure a better set of tools would make it easier. Might be time to upgrade!
@@WatchWitt exactly the watch head. I have some rudimentary tools. I think my eyesight doesn’t help these days 🤪
No, it's not you...it's definitely the bracelet/springbars!
Hi, what is the waterproof specs on this watch? Have you taken it swimming? Would you go swimming with it, given it is 50m water resistant?
50m...push/pull crown (hand wind movement) and chrono pushers are free standing. Man, I haven't really thought about it until you asked. I've had it in the (cool) shower with no issues. I know 50m SHOULD be fine, but I like this watch so much that I probably would try to remember to take it off, just in case. I have other 50m watches that I do swim with, and they're more expensive, but they're not chronographs. Something about the extra holes gets me paranoid! 😂 I have a few 100m chronos that I swim with...
Probably a silly question. Does anyone know how long these watches last? Thinking of this or a citizen Orca with a 5 Yr guarantee. Any advice in helping me decide would be much appreciated. Thanks
Others can chime in with actual longevity claims, but mine is holding out great after about 2 years now. These are built well and there's a Seiko movement inside. However, if you're debating between this and a Citizen Orca, I would take the Citizen in a heartbeat! You're obviously ignoring the price difference in your comparison. Really two different watches...go with the one that gives you the feels!
@@WatchWitt thanks. Do you mind if I ask why you would go for the orca.
@carltongayle5461 Purely in reference to comparing these two watches: 1) More established heritage brand 2) more originality 3) better anti-magnetic and shock resistance 4) better water resistance 5) longer battery life (Eco-Drive DOES need a battery swap, but YEARS later) so need to enter caseback reduced. But like I said, these are two completely different watches......so it's not really a "fair" comparison.
@@WatchWitt thanks, appreciate your comments. Will go for the orca
I feel like your original question should have been, "Which one do I buy FIRST?!" 😂
No date at 6 so a no go for me, a shame, well made and again with crappy lume...
I'm with you on the date...I keep looking for it! Shame, since the movement features it. If they up their lume game, they'd get a little more credit from enthusiasts, for sure!
This watch is not an ADDIESDIVE 050S IT IS AN AIDIS
Yes, I know. But they put the Addies MY-050 caseback on it. Look at 1:55
Yep just purchased the V3 & like yourself put it on a fkm tropic.Looks lovely. Thanks for the review 👍
Looks good on SOO many straps...enjoy!
...look's so good im a bit worried about getting one
Worried in what regard? It converted me. I really had no interest in the actual Speedmaster until I got this...now I want one and probably won't be able to afford one for years.
a mechanical watch make more sense than an electronic one in space
Ain't nobody taking a Pagani to space! 😂
New sub here ... truly enjoyed this!
Thanks! Everyone loves a strap show!
Worked for me. Thanks mate
Sure thing!
Thank youu, worked for me🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Awesome, keep rockin' that G-Shock!
I said this elsewhere. The Hruodland may be my first AliExpress purchase.
That'd be a good one! It's so different than other AliExpress offerings. The movement choice adds some charm to it, too.
@@WatchWitt Just arrived, love this watch which is better than it has any right to be.
Glad to hear! You've set the bar high pretty high for future AliExpress purchases. There are definitely some gems out there, though, just like this one is.
Question, will this fit my 16,5cm wrist? Since i saw multiple people saying the bracelet can’t fit small wrists since you can’t remove many links. I have a 1653 atm with a few removable links spare.
It should, in theory, if your PD-1653 fits. That watch has a lug to lug of about 48mm, and this one is just a tad shorter at 47mm. They do offer strap options instead of the bracelet, but I always like to own the bracelet and swap other aftermarket straps on my own.
@@WatchWitt hmm yeah okay good point. Usually not someone who likes to try other straps. Almost always wearing the original bracelet. But since this is literally a strap monster, there are enough different solutions. Thanks for answering!
@lorenzo7687 Definitely fun to swap around straps on this one...it might even give you a strap habit!
Great video and great review! Q: on Amazon there is a black sailcloth option is it any good? Better to get the Artem instead? Thanks.
Thanks! I haven't seen their sailcloth in person, so can't comment to the quality. I have heard accounts of it fraying over time, though. The ARTEM is expensive, just FYI, but superior. I pretty much always recommend buying on the bracelet (unless you absolutely hate them) so you have that fitted end link, and buying your own aftermarket alternative straps.
@@WatchWitt I will order the Artem ;) Looking to your next review.
They look great together, that's for sure!
I can attest to the quality here. I have 2 Speedmaster Professionals and really wanted the new white dial. Got that here for next to nothing and it works and looks great. To those interested in the real deal, this is a great way to try out the form factor and have something to beat without too much worry. Don't sell these short.
Excellent testimony. You’re among many who have said something similar in regard to owning the original and this version. I reverse engineered the situation for me…never really wanted the Omega UNTIL I tried this one…it gave me the itch!
Love it
It's pretty slick...done nicely!
Just bought a Viggen watch 👍🏻
Those look SO tough! Nice grab!
Just great watches for a good price!!! 👌💯
Absolutely!
How can I get one? I don't see any information regarding
They sold out! This video was released before they went on sale. Click through to the full video this is from if you want to learn more about the brand, though. More info in that video's description.
So fun and absolutely cool 😎 😊
It's great to have a little more non-traditional dial, and vivid colors to go along with it...definitely fun!
@@WatchWitt👍🙌
The obvious competitor for this is the SWC Bunker. I like the look of this one personally since it has a more traditional field-watch dial layout (plus I like display casebacks), but the Bunker is titanium, has X1 grade lume, a Swiss movement and all for a hundred bucks less
Good points. Hard fact, it's just going to cost more for USA assembly and quality control. So it comes down to which watch appeals to you more. I've handled both watches and can rave about each. The SWC offers much better specs for the money, but this Vaer is no slouch either. I'm drawn to the A5 dial more, like you. Fun fact, the SWC is assembled by an American in Switzerland! Here's my review of the Bunker, if you haven't seen it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f36Bs6SPYMu1Y84.html
Worked a treat! Thank you.
They thought of everything, except the fact that we don't like to look in manuals! You're welcome!
Lovely looking watch but I don't fully understand the thing for so called "homage" watches from Aliexpress. Am i missing something or are these just cheap affordable clones?
It's hard to explain. You see a watch with striking looks/design/build and a low price. It's obtainable. For many, it's as close as they'll ever get to owning the original. Like, if Honda made a version of a Porsche...you know it's not a Porsche, but it has the looks and feel of it. The engine is reliable and you can afford it! Win! Not the best analogy, but you get the idea.
What a beautiful watch 👍🏻
It really is! This dial color always surprises me, too.
That's pretty cool. Fun watch for sure!
It's the week of funky watches for you and me! 😂 Yes, definitely fun. This crystal gives me smiles.
@@WatchWitt Somebody needed to bring the funk 😅🎉
Hold my beer...
Pagani really impressed me. I have the Rolex Hulk homage. At the time when they weren't super famouse yet it only cost me $60. I've had it for 4 years now use it on a daily basis and I can tell you the thing is durable. For $60 you get a Saiko 4R35 movement, saphire cystal, and ceramic bezel. The band is pretty solid as well.
Crazy prices, right?! Glad to hear it's doing well by you in the long run.
Really cool 😎
Crazy cool...I love it!
Great looking watch. Must buy on the bracelet. But why maje a timing bezel.....no marks? That makes it useless. No buy for me.
This is built on their diver case, but it's meant to be more of a sport watch. You'd be surprised at how closely you can guess where the markers are, though...nearly to the minute! I surprise myself when wearing this one. They also have a dress version of this.
@@WatchWitt I think it is super handsome. Very different. I want to buy one......but a timing bezel with out marks🙄 I have a squale similar to that, but it does some marks on the bezel. None on the dial. Stunning watch from gnomon, but still functional. The 1521 case.....500m odd one.
@Koishishibaman That one does sound interesting! Check out this version of the Venezianico...you can also get it on the same bracelet. They just opened another pre-order window for both watches. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hoyozbp8p6nJeso.htmlsi=a_3Qn0oVIYog5jRg
Thanks
You're welcome...those are great quality straps for super cheap price. I have a ton of them in different sizes/colors!
Do you have a link for the rubber strap? I can’t find them on AliExpress
Sure...it was in the description of the video I sent you...but here's direct: Tropical FKM Strap a.aliexpress.com/_mM97EoY
It's really cool, but the price!
Yeah, they're proud of it!
Not sure why my comments disappear so I will just say cool watch, great review. Hope that does not disappear.
Weird...whenever you say that I check my "held for review" folder but always empty...not there. Yes, this watch is cool! Little hard to not have a quick glance of the time, but everything else is awesome. Feels great, too!
@@WatchWitt Did you see that new fire sale price? I got the email this morning...ahahahahaha
No, I didn't see. Lower than $500?
@@WatchWitt $259!!!!!!!!!
@1vegasdood Are you sure? I think that's for the other round case Space Invaders watch they have...the Quasar.
