I fell to my knees weeping the first time I heard this song. It’s a perfectly honest ending to a story of loss and despair. I will never forget that moment. Worship.

Have you ever been so fucked up that you're barely hanging on? Like you feel as if you're going to be extinguished any second now. And then you meet someone who you're ready to give up your last flame for. Even if they're not yours, even if you don't know if the feeling is mutual? Like you're ready to sacrifice the last bits of who you are just to cure them like they cured you? Even if for a moment, just for a little bit. It's a fucked up way to think, but that's how I feel right now. I've been through hell for a long time, and there's this one person who made me forget that. Just for that, I'm ready to sacrifice all I have left of myself just to say thank you. For feeling once more. No matter the cost of rain, I will shelter her all the same.

Kool-aid sounds like old BMTH style. You're the 1st person I've heard say it sound like anything else. Oli did say he wanted this album to sound like 2000s emo with a twist. Its nit exactly the same. Just has a nostalgic feel.

Saw them twice, once with Sleeping with sirens in manchester uk and once with Neck deep in warsaw poland! They are so sick live, especially the fact they lean into the static in their name... having OLD TV's on the stage playing videos etc.... adding to the visual effect, plus the energy they all bring is HYPE!

Andrew has revivified everything I loved about DGD and that they have been lacking for damn near a decade, These are two of the best songs they've ever made and I am 1000% here for the Andrew Era as someone thats been a fan sine before Tilian

Been a fan since day 1. I knew the band 2 of these guys were in before Greyhaven so when I saw they were in a new band I was so excited to hear it. Cult America to now, the band just keeps putting out amazing music and they’re such amazing dudes.

This entire album is so good. So dark and definitely a haunting feeling. Also just slaps your face off. Sit & Mourn is the biggest curve ball and my favorite. I like your comparison to isolation cause that’s one of the feelings I get from it. Probably the eeriest one on here. Made me feel a certain way that’s for sure.

  • @petemartyn

I can't think of the last time I enjoyed an album as much as this one - Knocked Loose does such a good job continuing to innovate and build off their previous work. Sit & Mourn was a definite highlight in part because it felt like a callback to Upon Loss. They're adding such a southern Gothic, doom metal vibe without compromising any of the hardcore impact and it's everything I could hope for.
