  Hi! Kristiina Poska will start her last season as chief conductor here in season 2024-25. After two periods of being our chief conductor she will pass the baton to Martijn Dendievel.

  A tad on the quick side... but I think the tempo worked alright as a whole. The orchestra sounds very expressive and has great clarity.

  As an orchestra you should play this much faster, it will get the Gershwin style. The nostalgic way of this work doesnt work for an orchestra.

  Those French Horns are so jarring! Way, way, way too loud. In my opinion only the piano does Gymnopedie #1 full justice.

  This concerto could have been so much more. All the themes seem to be cut short before they were really finished. This is a wonderful performance, best here, but terrible camera work. Why does the camper dash around constantly?

  This is a good piece, should get more performances. Unfortunately most orchestras, while they do several violin concertos every year, will do a clarinet concerto only once every five years or so - even when they have the likes of Riccardo Morales, Wentzel Fuchs, or Anthony McGill in their midst. And so they concerto they usually play is, of course, Mozart.

  When the 'Allegro molto' kicks in. Just tingles, chills and tears all the way✨ What I wouldn't give to be a part of an orchestra producing that superb sonority. Fabulous recording. Well done to the engineers. I have heard things here, I have missed in my recognised recordings. A great job done by maestro Poska and the fantastic Flanders. Bravo!!!

  WOW! Great performance! Would have got to my feet and shouted, "Bravo!" if I was there!Wonderful recording. Tight Flanders orchestra! I hope, I can make Ms Poska on the podium with the Halle in Manchester in March conducting this. Thanks for the pleasure✨
