Spear is a weapons show the power of friendship
He looks like the weakest dwarf from the dwarven army, but also the strongest napolean soldier.
How tiny she is, nothing compared to the Tsar Cannon
Imagine when you've got sick, have the runs, and gave gotta keep marching, weak n tired n shitty, and have to keep dropping back, catching up, packing up again, then all again.

Never use red as uniform, its the color of blood
I would love to see something like this done for the Anglo-Saxon period (specifically after the reforms of Alfred the Great and his successors (I.E. the ''Burh'' system)). I think it would be amazing to have numerous forts around the country from different time periods so we could explore the various styles and defensive theories of the various peoples who settled on this island throughout different periods.
Pure speculation but im sure the artist of the column did what arist did best, depiction and elevation of the cooler, more distinct and unique armor vs the boring reality. After all it was sure as hell a Propaganda piece.
Would you also hold your sword with the true edge facing the correct direction?
Wasn't that difficult. Round heads vs lobster tails. Not that similar at all.
And by the time they half loaded there musket the british would have shot 3 of them with the british built baker rifle from 300m away :/ even when they manage to load the weapons they had to run and close the gap of 200m between them and the british soldiers because those muskets can maybe shoot a range of 100m/150m it was actually pretty unfair because even if they managed to close this gap the british green coat rifles would normally run them back into the marching red coats about half a mile down the road.
This is wrong. Many sash colours were used. Some royalists wore blue at times. It depended on the commander, not the side you were on.
Which civil war? England has had about ten? :D I'm guessing the 1642 war?
"I've been shot." "We'll call you a cab."
The uniforms of the American Civil War produced a similar problem. Both sides used a similar design and blue and gray look very similar while you're fighting in a haze of gunpowder smoke or the dim of twilight.
Ist that what they gave Jesus on the cross?
In Civilisation 6 there’s an achievement for clearing nuclear contamination with a Roman Legion unit.
I don't understand? This shade of orange is easily distinguishable from red. It would be way worse if they chose orange and yellow
Awesome uniforms warfare in this era was so colorful
do or did the sharpshooters look at robert rogers as a founder?
I bet the Centurion was an X WO1. ❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Brilliant
During that time wearing the enemy's colors to infiltrate or none at all would have been considered military genius
It would not be genius at all. You're still coming from the direction of your forces, your commander would be confused in trying to organize the battle, and since you're closer to your own artillery you'd be more likely to get shot by them than the enemy's.
I would've thought they wouldn't be fighting unless absolutely necessary. The regular infantry would be fresh and waiting, when the sapuers got done busting their ass on the obstacle, and then they just get into line?! I'm assuming they wouldn't be the front line, or main assault, but I'd happily charge in first to give them a break, knowing those badasses are coming right back in behind you! I got chills a little bit 😬
imagine u fight hand to hand with these man.
You can never change my mind on its true name being the dishonored pistol

The colorblind guy hoping he’s the only colorblind guy on the field

Guts & Blackpowder lore be like:
Beer was safer to drink than water .
Did that also mean firing ranks passing muskets back to loaders? Doesn't that leave a lot of room for error, dropped muskets in the mud, firers or loaders suddenly finding them selves empty handed?
Guts and blackpower be like lol
Instructions unclear, mauled by shamblers and runners.
Every pikemen gangsta until winged hussars arrived
The British love a bit lying propaganda lol. Napoleon wasn't even particularly short
Omg. What a terrifying role
Goes to show how inbred they were…..
please my Duke play Musketeers gunpowder vs steel , you can try something like that there. browser game
Speculation on my part, but by the time of Trajan's column the legions were basically always outside of Italy and had been for some time. Even if laminar armour had been phased out, it may have still been how Romans in Rome imagined the legions. Plus artistically it differentiates the Proud Roman Legions (TM) from the auxiliary forces. Neither force was really made up of Romans or Italians by then but propaganda wise they would probably be seen as less forgien
