I found the original video from the "Evening Kyiv" show where Zelensky parodied a clip by the band "Kazaky". In this parody, he mocks the guys who danced in high heels while nude and who named their group after the historically significant Ukrainian term "Kozaki" - members of military formations and border guards who lived in Ukraine in the 15th century... The moral of this parody is that: Those who are kozaks should be called Kozaki, and those who dance in high heels should be called dancers.

OMG, is that on youtube? If so, could you tell me the title? I've seen the Kazaky clip, & I think this is a brilliant & hysterical parody of it, but I didn't know they were making that point about the name of the band- I just thought it was cool & appropriate they started in Kozak gear. Anyway, talented people; I like them.

Wanted to add that: In this entertainment video, you can also hear the word "gay," but in the phrase "bydmo gey!" This phrase originated from the Zaporizhian Sich. "Budmo" means "let's be healthy." However, since the military life of the kosaki was full of danger, they feared jinxing themselves with such a toast. Therefore, they simply said "budmo," and "gey" is an exclamation similar to "Hey, that drink went down well."

@@beth7935Yes, it's actually really cool! Like, this video is over 10 years old, both the original clip and the parody... and for that time, it was quite eccentric!) Well, now everyone does it. So the clip was even ahead of its time)

@@user-zc3bp5fr9c Yeah, it would've been pushing boundaries 10 years ago (it still is now tbh), but it seems like Ukrainians are pretty chill like that, & they have a great sense of humour. And that's interesting about the Kozak toast- I misheard it as "budmo hey", but I'd assume "gay/gey" was a Ukrainian word anyway. The Zaporizhian Sich sounds really interesting overall.
