The PS5 controller feel is already a deal maker for me. Tried the backbone and wasn't a fan.

i prefer how Razer looks sharper but i prefer Logitech's color. Razer can't handle reds well and has a terrible greenish look. Logitech doesnt show grain because its always a bit blurry. In the dark it works better but with light its annoying. UGH idk what to get....

how tf do you get it working with a Steam Deck? Mine wont work with my dock, neither Wired nor through the USB Dongle... it connects and everything, but it doesnt control anything

My 2 biggest issues with the portal is it's portability and that it's locked to just my PlayStation. It's size means it's impossible to fit into my purse even when its the only thing in there and I really don't want to carry around a giant purse just to play my PlayStation on my lunch breaks. The backbone and even the gamesir g8 fit in my purse so much better and still leave space for the rest of my stuff. The backbone and gamesir also let me play my PC games through moonlight or steamlink and xbox eother through the gamepass app or remote play on the xbox. My husband and I share the consoles and while we've talked about the portal and how amazing it looks, it just wouldn't serve us any good over it's cheaper options.

I have been streaming to my SteamDeck for months ago and it was perfect. Now i don't know what changed, but its supper stutter and inconsistent. I bought one today. Hopefully going to be better.

Everyone saying that it’s because he’s wearing it backwards. I’m sure it doesn’t help but that’s definitely not why, the microphone on this headset is complete junk for what you’re paying. I’m sending mine back today. Sound quality is amazing for the price, but the microphone is just so bad. Very disappointed.

Amazon reviews on this thing are terrible with 3 stars and less. Most report it barely lasts for the hour and a half they advertise and only lasts around 30-40 mins. Most also report that just after a few months their pack no longer holds charge. Why are it trying to sell this thing?

I had a Backbone for maybe a week and I did not enjoy it -- loading up the app was almost impossible and the latency was nowhere near tolerable for me

Just got a portal and have had a similar change in opinion. Another thing i used to hate remote playing on my phone was menu text sizes etc. unreadable. Portal solves that.

Without support for their back catalogue I cannot support this device. They have so many systems that should be supported on this thing and they just don’t open it up. It makes no sense. I built a high end gaming pc. That linked with my steam deck and I can play EVERYTHING. These companies are leaving money on the table.

I use my portal on a daily basis with a 5g hotspot when I’m at work on the bus. Works perfectly fine as long as I’ve got a good 5g signal.

My wife and I lived in America and Sweden respectively as we're trying to go through the process of moving to both live in either location. I work remote, and my wife is on leave. For anyone still considering if it's worth the price let me share my positives, as well as a few GLARING flaws with the portal. Let me start by saying that in both our cases our bedrooms dont have a T.V and out Ps5s are both in our living rooms. Positives first, on slow work days and for a bit after work before I'm headed back to the main part of my home the portal offers a WONDERFUL way for me to not compromise on WHAT i want to play. I have a switch, but i primarily prefer to keep it docked and find the hassle of remembering to dock it or not too much to do when using it so i only took it on holidays when i knew id be losing my mind from the slowness and boredom, the portal i don't have to do that and i don't have to for instance not progress on my current rougelike or metroidvania or farm sim to play during slow times with the portal, its also great to be able to share what im up to with the wife or to half watch via screen share while working. The cons: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY IS IT USING REMOTE PLAY AND WHY CAN'T I WATCH STREAMING? it's really not that bad most of the time, but hear me out... say im working new years... no work to do really right? Because of time zones my wife is often still asleep when i start working, but we have a discord vid call going 24/7 to feel closer... so i can't use my phone or company equipment to watch some crunchyroll or youtube... AND I CANT USE THE PORTAL? This is my biggest pet peeve this and owing to the nature of ps3 streaming and screen sharing i cant play for instance the Lords of Shadows game via the portal. Which is a shame. My wife's biggest pet peeves are the volume setting even on the lowest is "deafening" and that the battery is pretty low. We both hate the no Bluetooth. I hate that i can't use the pulse headphones directly on the portal instead i have to connect them on the ps5 and hope it works...

Backbone or using an iPad is better. The controller feedback isn’t enough. I can just use my 13 in iPad if I don’t wanna use my phone and use a ps5 controller. I normally use a Xbox series x controller but no big deal. A portal just to remote play PlayStation is my point exactly why they are a scam. Nintendo didn’t make another handheld to copy so Sony got stuck and confused. If the competition doesn’t move first Sony has nothing to copy and spit back out as what they call new.

No, think of the portal like a wireless controller and TV for your system. PS5 can't play two games at once.

Vital to know that you should avoid having any active downloads while playing. For some, seems obvious. But for me, who often streamed my PC to my phone via Moonlight or Steam Link, it was not as obvious. Sony just unfortunately has inferior streaming capabilities, but i do think the Portal will be good enough for many.

Personally, I love the backbone!! If my phone screen size was bigger, I wouldn't have bought the PlayStation portal. However, with that being said I don't regret buying the portal.

Sorry good mobile and old ps4 controller and mount or stand are perfect and I just chuck the controller in a bag and play in my lunch hour at work ,cost nothing bar a £7 stand or ps4 controller mount , great on galaxy A32 5g playing helldivers no issues.
