@StacyRPG: Just to give you a little bit of extra info, the reason why Franz Stigler flew ahead and to the left of the Pub -- roughly 11 o'clock, from Charlie's POV -- is that Luftwaffe protocols dictated such a formation indicated a capture, rather than a kill. While not always done, a lot of German pilots in World War II were taught their flight training by pilots who flew in the Great War. During the Great War, it wasn't unusual for an enemy pilot to land, escorted by a German pilot who took the opposing pilot prisoner. While not preferred, it did mean better treatment for downed pilots, as usually, like today, many pilots were officers. The reason for taking an enemy pilot prisoner during the Great War was that the biplanes many pilots flew were cloth and wood -- and if a pilot could land a damaged plane, he had tremendous skill. That said, mid-air captures were not common, but weren't exactly unheard of, either. Because Franz indicated a capture of the Pub, German Flak-88s on the ground were instructed to not fire on planes captured by Luftwaffe pilots. This is how Franz protected the plane not once, but twice, since he saw the damaged plane, and her injured crew, as the same as a pilot who was helpless in a parachute. The Pub, when Franz came upon her, was no threat -- and had his actions came to light during wartime, he could have been court-martialed for treason and executed.

Being that you like history, I don't know if you have a movie reaction channel, but if not, try watching Band of Brothers. A true story about Easy Company, a WWll 10 episode mini series. A true story.

Youre very young do tou know what these songs were made for? No offense! Originally rhis came off the album the wall. Meaning the berlin wall how it split, caused war, and put up barriers. As well as people losing loved ones on each side of the wall or watching the wall fall on the 80s. Watch the movie/music video. It would be a several hour watch

As far as making it home with damage, there were aircrewman who, after the war, refused to fly in any plane not made by Boeing, because they had such faith from the planes they flew during the war. Sadly, Boeing's quality has fallen off a lot since those days.

I love and miss Freddie like a dear, cherished friend you could never get enough of. I still can’t believe his casually high level of artistry. The music. The lyrics. And all the emotion! Freddie! ❤ Art should grab you like a thief in the night and make you breathless. Freddie and QUEEN were a roll of the dice once in a lifetime gift to the world. Nobody wanted it to end, dear. 🥀

The day Charlie passed, I would imagine that the harrowing howl of a "109" could be heard circling in the distance. Franz had come to escort his brother home. Horrido.

Live Aid was watched by 72,000 people live at Wembley Stadium and an estimated 1.5 billion in 150 countries on TV. It raised more than $140m (£114m) for famine relief, rightly brought the world's attention to Ethiopia's devastating food shortages and undoubtedly saved thousands from death

The papers read that "For 22 minutes, on the 13th of July, Britain was ruled by an entirely different queen." This wasn't even a Queen crowd and Queen was a last minute addition. The weather started out miserable and the 16 hour concert had been going for a while by the time they got on stage. Freddie took a tired and grumpy crowd and had them eating out of his hand almost immediately. When asked what his favorite instrument to play was, Freddie always responded "The crowd, darling. The crowd" PS: "Crazy little thing called love" was written as an Elvis tribute upon his death.

🐈‍⬛ 🛬 Sabaton & you. Perfect! The message lives on - in the Falklands in 1982, my cousin, a Royal Navy pilot, was after the plane, not the man, and was always glad when he saw parachute(s).

30+ years later, during a pre-concert for a Green Day concert, one of the songs played was Bohemian Rhapsody. The audience became a choir and sang the song in its entirety. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lY6ipLCuodTgZco.html

I was a 10-year-old lad sitting at the side of the stage watching the performance and I remember it was like yesterday. I remember vividly when Queen finished their set, and David Bowie said to the stage manager "How the F am I supposed to follow that?" Haha. Side note.. My Dad was the chief sound engineer for the whole concert.

People seem to forget The Holocaust 1941 - 1945 six million Jews where systematically murdered. Geocide!! People that read books will never understand war unless you've been in one. Fighting fair is something Nazi Germany never done, every law on conflict was broken and just because some people feel bad for what happened doesn't and will never make it right. I don't care if I get people get mad at me for this comment, it's just fact's.

Was living in London in 1985 and couldn't get a ticket but watched live with friends and despite such a stellar cast of acts, Queen absolutely stole the show. Still an emotional watch all these years later. The film, Bohemian Rhapsody, captures these events really well.
