These are my adventures: Adventures in TV-Land. I like to travel. I'm based in Illinois, not far from St. Louis. I enjoy roadside attractions, Americana, historical sites, theme parks, and quirky places of interest. Although I tend to focus on travel, history, literature, theatre, and film, my interests are vast. I particularly enjoy visiting the weird and unusual; the places and things sometimes overlooked. There are stories and history all around us. It is my goal to unlock these stories, visit them, and share them with the world. I also like to do races (Tough Mudder, 5K, 10K, 15K, half-marathons, etc.) and film some of these "race" adventures. Lastly, I'm a huge film buff and occasionally do a video film review/commentary. Yeah, I first heard about this place over 20 years ago in my college intro to art class. That, drone shots, would be cool. I’ve never had a drone; I wouldn’t mind getting my license and getting one, but the ones I’ve seen others use are still too cost prohibitive for me. How long did it take you to get your license?

It’s actually shorter than most I see around here any more: they are often well over 100 cars, usually closer to 150 and go for about 4-6 minutes of wait time. The trains are definitely longer here than they used to be. I heard a BIG BOY locomotive is suppose to be in Illinois this fall; I’d like to catch that if I’m able to

I think the Canadian side is much nicer, but the last time we were there I had just sent my passport to be renewed and didn’t want to mess around with crossing back and forth!
The Canadian side is nicer than the US side. They were renovating the US Visitor Center last year while I was there so it was even a bigger mess

Neat exhibit with the sharks. I don’t know if it’s me but this aquarium didn’t seem special to me. Although it was during the grand opening and was so crowded 🤪
I think the St. Louis Aquarium did a good job with the space. However, it’s not as spectacular as the few other aquariums I’ve been to
