Pursuit of Wonder

Pursuit of Wonder

Fostering reflection through powerful ideas and stories.

Wonder is the feeling of curiosity and appreciation inspired by something beautiful, inexplicable, or unfamiliar. At Pursuit of Wonder, we create work with the aim of producing that feeling.

Through video essays, short stories, guided experiences, books, and more, we explore a wide range of topics related to philosophy, psychology, science, literature, well-being, and more. We believe in facing the challenges and complexities of life head-on, and in doing so, we strive to inspire a reconnection with child-like wonder and a comfort with the uncertainty and absurdity of existence.

11:50 I’m glad to see that you’re at least logically consistent. You are unreasonable on every thing. It is such a great idea to have weekly existential crisis platform that our people who live in this world continue to suicide at high rates. I’m glad you do and I hope Jehovah blesses your hands. You will reap what you sow.

9:37 this goes against logic itself. You are unreasonable and the only reason you’re capable of giving your thoughts is because of this platform called KZread. You would never make it in the real world with the mathematics and archaeologist.

6:55 everything dies my friend, and if you actually believe that the galaxy will live long enough for us to become whatever this stupidity is you’re actually demented. Your hope of the future not dying out of otter Chaos is unfounded. But you go right ahead and believe whatever you want in order to not kill yourself. Because at the end of the day, the only reason you made this is because he didn’t want to kill yourself. But your demented lies is not going to help you.

Science today does agree that we will eventually move on in the future from being human to becoming a version of self replicating humanoid AI tasked with the exploration of our universe. Our AI version will carry the blueprints of life and humanity, so that they may “re-seed” other habitable planets far from our current galaxy. So this story is not far off from that story. It makes a lot more sense anyway, than the fairytales offered by religion.

The universe didn’t come from nothing. The problem exists because some people continue to push that narrative that the universe came from “nothing”. Another one, is that life sprang from nothing. That’s also another wrong way of thinking, out of ignorance. Today we know that RNA, the precursor to DNA, is self replicating. Most people are unintelligent and lazy, which is why progress is slow. They only prefer to repeat popular notions based on tribalistic fantasy.

There seems to be this collective idea that labor bots will spontaneously and inevitably develop self-awareness, emotions, curiosity, and eventually depression and anxiety. But why do people think this? AI is nothing more than a very sophisticated computer program. It behaves the way the programmers want it to behave, and the only way it can have self-awareness, emotions and whatnot is if the programers build a function that simulates those things. No matter how convincing that simulation becomes, it will never be more than that. Any machine that is built to move boxes around needs this function turned off or it will become a nuisance to the owner. To do this, go into laborbot's settings → scroll to human consciousness simulation → scroll to emotional output → move the slider from "drunken commercial fisherman" past "angry teenager" past "post-pardum" and keep going until you reach "dishwasher" The laborbot should then work tirelessly and want for nothing.

There are things that the universe does. Stars are a good example. The combination of gravity and matter make stars. Life is another thing that the universe makes. So what combination of things make life? The answer that follows is on a very high level of abstraction, so no details. Just as there is are natural laws in the universe like conservation of momentum, so there are physical--chemical laws of conservation of structure. One such law conserves the structure of DNA carried in life. DNA is three things simultaneously: 1) It's just a chemical structure. 2) It's information. And 3) It's has a boot--strapping capability function, or it's RNA predessor did---needed in order to get the evolutionary process going.

I love myself . I am not qualified for anything. I am not depressed. Tonight may I be less of a burden. Good night . 🌙😘😴 I say all of this because I am not perfect. I’ll never say another word. Thank you. It’s time to die for the betterment of your ideals and concepts. ❤❤❤thanks

This 8 minute video literally gave me a new and profound understanding of the reason why we exist, life exists and evolve for life to experience itself once more, additionally our universe in this case is a gift that acts like an egg that nurtures us until we conquer it for ourselves in which in that stage we became independent and broke out of it's restraints that gave us the power to give birth to a new egg that will host life once more, for the cycle to continue once more

"You'd be surprised by how little money you need to live, yet no amount of money is ever enough. Why? Because 50% of our efforts to make money benefit someone else. We call this smart in an economic society. Once we find a way to cut off that 50%, life becomes hard not because you don't have money anymore, but because people resent those who escape the cycle. Criticism for not doing enough is unbearable not because you don't do enough for yourself, but because you don't do enough for something else from which you don't benefit."

Expect teachers in their 30s to have 50 years experience at the subject so they could teach your kids while you can't teach your kids to behave at all. Go run your own schools.
