His argument makes no sense. Let say you open a brokerage account and start investing as you would in a 401k and accumulate substantial amount by retirement. You still end up paying taxes on capital gains when you cash it in.

I had a 3,000$ car loan, this is a stupid statistic because the cost of all cars have increased dramatically, and the cost of living has dramatically increased, while income has dramatically decreased, this is going to cause an increase in loans. Let's also talk about how people don't want to pay taxes, but then talk about how young people don't need cars, but then there's not a well maintained or sustainable public transit system.
The reason I went is because how tf are you gonna start a successful business with min wage dollars? Pqying for rent, food, all the other bills on min wage? 0 left for starting a business. I spent 4 years in school to make almost tripple what min wage is. Now I can afford all my bills and have money to throw at an amergency fund, business ideas, vacations, etc. If youve got supportive parents who can cover all the basics while you use your min wage to start a business thats another story. But if you need to pay for all your own shit the ods of you being a successful business owner while working a min wage or close to job is almost 0.

What hes referring to is a whole lofe policy with cash value. Let's say your premium for the year is 12k. Monthly, you will pay 1k, but the trick here is that these types of policy allow you to borrow against them and earn interest from its maturity all the whole securing your family in the event of your death.
That's why I buy new cars. Most people don't know how to or will not maintain their vehicles. DIY maintenance is cheap. Paying others to do it is expensive.
