I am watching the 2nd season now. Even though most of the action takes place in one setting you still get hints about the worlds around them and you realise the same problems continue to plague humanity, just on a broader scale. I love seeing the different eras on the beacon. The characters are all fascinating including the AI. There is a limited cast and the characters get a good amount of dialogue and/or back story. It's brilliant, 10/10

"I wanted something that kids could love too" ... Ok. "Because the games are violent games" ... Ok. "So then the kids could enjoy it and become borderlands gamers" ... So remove the violence to attract kids in order to forward them onto violence. "Yes" You're gonna have to run that by me again.
I know right? If your goal is to attract watchers to the games then toning down the violence makes no sense if they're supposed to play the game anyway.

It's a garbage fire movie, it's clear no one involved has ever played the games even once.
Hopefully We get the Roth cut on Blu-ray.
If Eli really would love that franchise, he would never allow to release such garbage. There is everything wrong in the movie, from the beginning to the end. Casting? I love that actors, specially Kate. But this is not role for her. Not at all! Same for Jamie. Characters? Has nothing common with those in game, except names, and maybe visualization. A little. Story-line? Completely ignore timeline of the Borderlands Universe. Atmosphere? Ok, Visualization is maybe the best on the movie. But except bandits, nothing works. People watching the movie, are not identifying with the Borderlands world. Also because back in the head, there is still alarm ringing "hey, it should not be like this, its wrong". Like if you are sleeping, and brain says "Hey, its not real, its a dream". Unfortunately this dream is almost nightmare. Definitely for Borderlands veteran players.
Movie is a complete flop.
