If we are talking about singular plastic pieces for a favorite part I'd have to go with the Chainsword bayonet that comes with the MK VI tactical squad kit. Followed up by the MKVI sons of horus heads. If we are talking about multiple piece parts then I'd say the smoke grenade launchers from the Tartaros terminator squad kit, followed up by the Contemptor/Leviathan dreadnought heads. If we are talking about like the bolt rifle on an intercessor then I'd have to go with the new CombiPlasma rifle from the new sternguard kit, followed up by the Volkite Cardanelle on the Kratos tank.

Utility is great thing to discuss. My favourite modelling experience in recent years has been assembling forgeworlds Nightlords Leviathan dreadnought. I wanted to magnetise different weapons and it turned out to be much easier than I thought. The latest plastic weapons sprue made it easy! Utility should include getting the most out of your models and I have a full range of useable weapons for my bad boy rather than a huge amount of wasted spares. GW got this one right!!

Excellent work! Your kitbash looks more like how I always think of a bloat drone in my head than the original kit. I had an Armiger carapace left over from a Forgeworld Knight Moirax (that kit comes with the normal plastic Armiger, and the resin Moirax conversion pieces), but I used it as part of a Brutalis Dreadnought pose I'm working on. It's nice to see various uses for left over parts!

Blue stuff casting is a mixed bag for me. Flat pieces usually come out fine, but it's way too easy to mess up stuff with recessed details. I myself am rather bad at it, which is why I got myself a 3d-printer for specialized bits. Good blight drone btw.

Complicated parts can go badly wrong as seen on this build! I can generally do what I’m after with blue stuff but the more and more I see bigger 3D printed parts the more inevitable getting a printer myself becomes, just not yet though!

Pessima lampada.
