Good Day. When I worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company around 1974, on 81st Street on Miami Beach, Mike lived across the street (Collins Av.) from the beach. Often I would see Mike crossing the street with his mask, flippers and snorkel around noon time. This is GREAT! There were 2 Miami POP Festivals. 1968 I believe it was. One day and 3 days. Just happen to land on this video (June 22 2024) Memories of that day came back rushing at me. That was a long and terrible week for most people. Still remember waken up on Sunday Morning and my partner telling about her accident and that she died of her injuries. I run to the tv and it was all over the news (I think never had breakfast that day) The days went by and the reaction of the entire world was that incredible pain of her loss. I thought I was prepared for the funeral but you can't be ready for that. I've cried to no end as I just did now. Most of us never met her, but her beauty was just physical but her personality as well. We cried of a person that shined bright as a star and lived for her work but above all, her 2 boys. RIP Diana. You will always be Her Royal Highness Diana Princess of Wales, ALWAYS!

I just learned about gandy dancers today and I had to look up more information... I love the music! Amazing how hard people worked at these jobs and still had the strength and spirit to sing while doing their work. In our society, in this generation, we're pretty wimpy compared to these mighty men.
