    Nice video. Is it possible to do some diving or boat trips from the hotel? In general to do some daytrips like visiting stone town etc?

  • @MrFalkone
    @MrFalkone Жыл бұрын

    Sorry for my late reply. Diving is limited. At least in front of the hotel due to the underwater plantation but in general it is possible in Sansibar. Stone Town can be reached easily. Hotel can arrange or you get a driver. We stayed in contact with the guy which picked us up from airport. (I believe it was arranged by the hotel and then we took his number, but I shouldn’t say that here 😀😀). Note: it can be costly to get around there. USD preferred.

Jede Attacke ist selbst verschuldet! Niemals wurde er grundlos von einem Schwarzspitzenriffhai gebissen. Einen solchen Schwachsinn zu verbreiten sollte bestraft werden.

    At least this is honest. The beach is about all Samui has now. Even the more expensive hotels where l stayed were in need of maintenance and repair. The vibe,pubs and night clubs etc is gone and it's a dreary place. Samui will take years to recover.Demolished pubs,clubs and hotels add to the ugly sights. With shops,businesses etc shut it's even worse. Will the high standards of accomodation return? I don't think so The seasonal workers from Udon etc realise that life ain't so bad back in the village and why bother going to an island? Businesses, especially hotels are struggling to get and keep staff never mind customers.

    @@MrFalkone It s not against you, it s just we see the evolution and it s everywhere like this... with my friends we can just be disappointed, it changed so much the last 10 years, occidental food even at the food market, concrete road more and more, future airport? bungalows not finished in the east on a lost beach. If we uncover now , it can be still the adventure but less and less, and it looks more and more like Samui. And the price!!! Now there are luxury houses and the prices for cheap stuffs are not so cheap now. And i wrote " the last ten years " cause i think it s from around 2011, the mafia got the island and made money with parties and that was enough for them, it changed mayor if i good heard, and the new one let many stuffs built and luxury things etc....So the parties changed, less underground, more techno houses, more club... so more tourists , not the same as 20 years ago, pity for me...And i forgot now the vehicles, bus, pick up, jeep!!! Anyway happy you like, phangan will always remain in my heart.

  • @MrFalkone
    @MrFalkone2 жыл бұрын

    I would agree on the over the top party part. We are glad it was not like this when we were there, but why other developments like concrete roads? I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. I guess there are many people living from tourism and see an improved infrastructure as an advantage. I think right now also many there struggle with the tourists staying away. Do you live in Koh Phangan?
