I am new in this field
Good morning.please, which part of the building is the green cable wired to?
This would be your SLC wire, the data circuit that goes to you intelligent addressable devices such as smoke detectors or other addressable relays.
How do you connect three tamper switches and water flow to bell
Just moved to Texas and looking to get licensed in the state.. do i need to be employed by a fire protection company to even apply for the testing?
I am also pursuing my FAL, and I’d say no bc the liscense IS what’ll land u the job in the first place 😅
Excellent video
I have an ERV unit that needs 4 smoke duct detector 2 of them are for supply and return. I am clear about the airstream with those. Then I have one for exhaust air and the other for outside air. I am not clear where to face the sampling tubes holes on those. Can you explain how and why please.
Pls can you do a video or connection diagram of how to interface DRN to shutdown AHU?
Occupancy "I" is Institutional not "Industrial". Type "F" is factory which is the closest thing to industrial.
How do I interconnect two of these
How do I interconnect two of these
if I have a ceiling 90 by 90 with 28 feet high?
How many duct detectors can be installed in a loop.?
That entirely depends on the manufacturer of the parts. There is not a code limiting that.
I wanna Congratulate You guys for such superp videos . You guys are the real Deal !! The Best videos on Fire Alarm Systems on KZread PERIOD !! No one comes even close . I learned and enjoyed watching every single video you posted so far...
Why do fire alarm transformers get so hot to the touch and hum so loud. Is it normal? Have a Fahrenheit IFP-75
Thank's for your advice!
Thanks for advise!
Thank you very much for n my case is a fire suppression system in a commercial kitchen. When the system is activated the pressure switch should send a signal to the solenoid valve to close. In this particular kitchen the solenoid is connected to the gas detector. Shall i connect my pressure switch directly to the gas detector?
Great video. Great job explaining it to the audience.
Great explanation 👍
what do I look at for smoke detector requirements for commercial spaces?
This is great. Anyone should watch this to know these basics yet new to so many. Great job well done
Great video. Just out of curiosity, what is the code on requirement for holes in the sample tube for a 22 inch duct?
Thank you for this video !!! Anyway we can get that PDF you’re referring to ? I have my test coming up soon and am hardcore studying
Have you ever ran across an audio chain fault?
Do you know who how to monitor battery power loss ? . I know the ac trouble if for the 120 power idk how to monitor the batteries
Best explanation I’ve seen. You just made it simple, thanks!
Thanks for posting. What's the difference between contacts 1 & 2 on the addressable relay?
They are the same I think a lot of people use contacts number two because they are on the same side of the relay. Most relays have more than one set of contacts so that they can operate multiple things however you need
Can you mount a duct detector inside the air unit at the beginning of the supply?
Do we need to order EOL resistors separately or they are coming with power supply? And if yes, then of what value and how many? Can you please help with this? Thanks in advance.
que voltaje puedes utilizar con el modulo relay en nc o no
thank you , great video
Thank you , great explanation
Thank you for your time and effort to put this training together , i really appreciate you and you are a very good teacher making this information relative and easy to understand . thank you
Thank you for making these videos , so helpful and your teaching style is very clear and makes it understandable.
How about small meeting room that won't have any 36 in. clearance from both supply and return, any suggestions on detector location?
Hi we have a Kidde fire panel at our church. Everytime we sing and play music it goes off. No one can figure out why yet they say the system is good. Have you ran into this problem before?
thank you , great video and presentation . i really appreciate you .
Wow we have a Johnson system that is more like dealing with witchcraft. The new stuff fails with a song and a dance. If the WWW internet ran like this the world would be using the Post_Office. Anyway thank you for the wonderful overview information. 😎 Great job.
Next time can you explain which wires you use to wire it example 14 2 and 18 2
When installing your devices after verifying the circuit was pulled properly and is a continuous cable, start trimming at the end of line device. Install EOL-R and test your feed pair for shorts to ground and shorts across the pair. Clear? Terminate and button up that device. Go to the next device down from EOL and measure both pairs for shorts to ground, shorts across the pairs or between the pairs and verify EOL-R on your outgoing pair. Clear? Put your meter on the diode setting and measure for proper polarity on the EOL pair. All good? Terminate and button up this device. Continue this procedure until completing the installation of the final 1st device on the circuit. Finally verify at the head-end that your circuit is clear of shorts, opens, reverse polarity and you can read your EOL-R. Taking the extra minute at each device measuring both ways while terminating eliminates time consuming troubleshooting and half splitting the circuit for problems after you thought you were complete. This assumes proper stripping of the cable, proper treatment of the shield and drain wire if applicable, and folding your conductors properly and neatly when buttoning up each device. This method will save many hours of troubleshooting.
Dude got hired by the company I work for, did culinary for a decade and had no clue I was going to become a technician electrician. One year later and I’m just now grasping these fire relays, you’ve help me personally a lot
I cant thank you guys enough for these courses. It's exactly what I needed to boost my confidence in the field. Especially since I'm just starting out. It's great to see that there's actually companies out there that want to improve their technicians knowledge base in order to set them up for success.
The Honeywell relay module that has dip switches . The n.c. contacts that run 24 volts from hvac back to a thermostat. I had one that n.c. contacts on relay module were open. I was working on a firelite cfr-300 It had communication to fire panel hooked up and a reset switch key. Why is my n.c. contacts open on my version of a fire lite cfr - 300?
Good video thanks for uploading
In what circumstances the power coming from SCL will be interrupted from comm2 and NO2? Let’s say I will not be using the second relay. Thx
thanks for taking the time to explain this! helps a lot
