    Ibanez is like a Toyota. Reliable, and easy to use, and in expensive. Jackson is like Chevrolet. They have their cheap models, but also make Camaros and Corvettes. ESP/LTD are like Subaru. Also fairly reliable, but have their fast fun models. Shecter are like Cadillac. Nice and luxurious, yet have some power under the hood. I have an ESP/LTD KH 202 EMG HZ pickups, an Ibanez RG USA Custom with D'Marzio pickups, and a Jackson MG Dinky with OEM EMG 81/85s. The Jackson is my workhorse, but I love all three. Schecter is my next guitar.

    I would recommend the Mexican Charvel, but only if you mainly gig at home, and you don't intend to become a professional musician. However, if you intend to work professionally as a musician, then Japanese or USA Charvel, all the way.

    Here in Brasil that "budget amp" equals the price of a vintage jcm in the western world, but: its worth every cent. Waited almost 4 years to buy one.

    I don’t know how to explain this, but I would much rather listen to the 22. To me it just sounds so much better. The 24 sounds kind of dead honestly, and just boring to listen to. Which is a shame because that’s the one that I own… lol Mine has hookers, and I just play on the bridge and shred with it so I guess it’s cool, but in a comparison like this with clean, I definitely like the 22. The 24 doesn’t even sound musical in my opinion. Like it’s just boring.

    To me, I could really tell the difference on the neck pick up because of the positioning difference, where the 22 sounded better. More harmonically, rich, also warmer. I like it a lot more. I’ve never liked the neck pick up on my DK 24. Although the fact that it’s a hacker helps.

    I'm going to set the cat amongst the pigeons with this comment BUT Gibson are way over rated IMHO. For the price you can't go pass the Yamaha Revstar especially if it has P90's. It is one hell of a guitar. The PRS is also another beautiful guitar but it's the Revstar for me.

    Best no. Great amp yes. I think Friedman competes with Bogner, Marshall, and Badcat for hot rodded Marshall tones. But for metal, may want something like a Mesa Dual Rectifier, ENGL Savage, Revv Generator, Diezel Herbert or Bogner Uberschall. For budget, the EVH 5150 III is a fantastic rock and metal amp. I love Friedman amps but the ones I have played like Dirty Shirley, Runt, JJ, and Pink Taco are better suited for classic rock than metal.

    Guys. Help me out please. I am looking to buy my first electric guitar. Should I go with 112v or 311? I am used to playing acoustic and planning to start electric. I want to mainly play songs like 'Canon Rock version' and similar solo covers, and also want some versatility.

    Hey man thanks for this video. What would you think about the HS3 taking into consideration that the room would be small and neighbours might complain with volume issues?

  • @john_enx
    @john_enx29 күн бұрын

    Not 100% sure but from my limited experience 12" is to big for room playing and 8" too small with no low end, open back doesn't help at all, I believe that 10" is the more appropriate size, I haven't tried any 6,5" or 2x12 stacks. Two points, 1st practice/room players don't search for the same sound as band guitar players and 2nd for new players it might be better to buy a multi effect pedal, modelling amp or a pc with an audio interface, the downside having too many options is bad sometimes since you waste time discovering the "amps" and not playing guitarl

    I ended up buying one and ended up returning it back to music store I'd bought it from and paired it up with a floor model they had sitting there.... Last one. Ended up leaving with both.... not bad for a stereo rig and less than $500.00 investment. So far I'm liking it but have yet to try it out live. Up coming Friday and Saturday will give it a go but still gonna have my backups along just in case.
