Some people need to settle down; I liked your story. Choosing the slower method since I have a lot on my plate. Yard work, decluttering, etc. Pet Parent here. I'm using the rest of the year to find low-carb recipes. I have my categories. Uh oh. Meal planning is step 3.
Channel is severely underrated
No download button. I deleted a big file to make room.
Hi Kassy, really enjoying your content. It would be interesting to meet Ross and hear more about your story. I’m 23 years old desirous to contribute more at home as well as learn what it means to manage a house well. A budgeting boot camp would be awesome!
Seeing your mouth movements is so funny 😆
I hate to grocery shop.
Thanks so much for watching! Will you be changing your morning routine or keeping it as it is?
Goodness you look disabled pulling your mouth like that 😮😮😮😮😮
Why is your mount sow squew
Thanks for watching! Are you going to re-waterproof your winter clothes this year?
I had NO idea about needing to re-waterproof! Please, do share!!
Ok guys, I have to know: How many of you already knew you needed to do this? AND how many of you currently do this once a year?
My problem is I'm trying to switch to a wfpb diet. None of my go to meals work anymore. Its exhausting trying to learn how to prepare new foods and meals, just to have my kids dislike everything i fix.
That is frustrating, I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with that! I remember when we became vegan pretty much overnight when I was seven-years old and it is quite an adjustment. If you ever have any specific questions on your journey, send me a comment and let me know. I'm happy to help if I can. Just know it takes a little while to get adjusted to new meals, so don't get discouraged. They will get used to it, but it will take time!
Alll this tips are useless for me I’m sorry but as a mum of two toddlers I’m cleaning every day and not for only 30 min but at least 2 hours only to see the same mess in the end of the day this is impossible
So sorry that you are experiencing that! I currently have 1 toddler and THAT is a lot, 2 is next level. Be kind to yourself in this season and know that it will pass faster than you think. Sometimes we just have to adjust our idea of "clean" during this time. Your kids won't care if the house isn't perfect, but they will care if you take the time to have fun with them... so try to prioritize that more than having a perfect house. Sending love your way 💜💜💜 You've got this!
Me too! I work part time but on my days off im cleaning until at least midnight
Hi there. Genuinely curious no insult intended. I noticed that you mentioned the honey candies at Trader Joe's that you kept with you if other kids were having treats and your kids felt left out. Do you not let your kids have any sort of sweets at all ever like never a candy bar or ice cream or anything like that? Just curious. Thank you for sharing
Hi! We don't do any refined sugar as a family. We eat lots of yummy sweets that are sweetened with honey or dates (my mom is an amazing baker who makes super yummy things for us that are only sweetened with one or both of those things.) If you are curious about this, I definitely recommend watching the documentary "That Sugar Film". It's really well done, entertaining, and has a lot of good information in it. I'm also happy to answer more questions about it, but that film lays everything out very well 😊
Great video mam
Thanks a lot
So maybe it's just me, but what do people put in their bathroom's besides hygiene products, towells, washcloths and maybe a couple of smaller knick-knacks and a plant? I would'nt know what to remove, I only have what I use in there as a default. It's a wet-room, most things will be ruined in there...
Sounds like your bathroom is already decluttered then, awesome! You'd be surprised how much clutter can be in some bathrooms :)
Last time I decluttered my bathroom I got rid of a lot of expired medicines and old makeup, also I had way more washcloths than I needed.
Came across your page today. You have some amazing tips! Thank youuuu immensely!
You're very welcome!
I don’t know if I agree saying streamlining isn’t for you, I believe everyone can benefit from decluttering/streamlining on some level. People just have to decide at what level works for them, and at what pace they go. I don’t think anyone would regret decluttering no matter the amount.
Yeah I would agree that most people would be happy with the results, but it's also ok if they don't want to go through the work and would rather keep things the way they are.😊
I'm in the middle of streamlining right now and is it ever tough. It's been 3 months now and my baby comes in 7 weeks. This video came at a good time. I needed some light at the end of the tunnel :)
You got this! If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!
Yay I am so happy you filmed a video about this! It is so helpful for me, you gave some very good points and food for thought. Hopefully I'll be able to reduce my overwhelm and finally streamline my life! ❤
You're welcome! I'm glad it helped!
I am totally going to add the how long a chore should take! Great idea. Love the shirt, I live in Oregon sich a beautiful place.
Yes, it's very helpful for them and you! How cool! What part of Oregon?
I live in Southern Oregon, Grants Pass area. The drive to the Ocean is about an hour and half which I am so thankful for.
Thanks for watching! Which of these tips are you going to try?
I retired a few years ago. There were clothes, for example, that I wasn't ready to get rid of at the time because I had not crossed over the bridge yet on my retired life. I have now. As I get to my new normal, I am more comfortable, knowing that I am not going back to my old life. That doesn't happen overnight.
Great advice for people transitioning to difference stages, thanks for sharing!
How do you find your "enough" when you declutter?
I am SO happy I found your videos!!! I have watched so many home management videos and your by far arecthe best!
So glad you're here!
Love this video!! I am having a hard time coming up with enough meals though. We are a gluten free dairy free, sugar free family. Would you say those cook books aline with that?
Yes, the majority of the recipes in the books are gluten free (my mom is gf also and she loves them. The first couple of books had some recipes that have gluten in them, but the later books (4 &5) are completely gf.) And we don't do processed sugar in our family and he uses dates and honey (which we use) in his recipes when they need a sweetener.
Thank you! I am totally going to order.
Don't you just love my confidence the second time I say Reason #5 😂 What do you guys think? Do the upsides outweigh the downsides of streamlining? Or is streamlining not for you?
I was listening to this video, while pinning curtains, so I really wasn't keeping track of the counting. No worries. Glad with the honesty, because it makes the size of the project a bit more clear so you can think before making the decision. I hope it is for me as I'm really struggling to get a handle on things with a 2 year old and possibly ADD in my own head, so I'm willing to go the extra mile to cut through all the chaos.
Ok, now that you've heard of the PROS and CONS of Streamlining Your Home FAST, which method are you going to choose?
Kassy have you ever considered writing a book? I would love that!
Yes!! I'm actually considering doing it this fall!
@@kassyeichele Omg I would totally buy it!! Love your content so much, you're such an inspiration xx Love from Rome :)
@@Angie2Pink You're so sweet, thank you! I always enjoy seeing your comments, and now I'm more motivated to start writing!
Thanks so much for watching! Which of these reasons is why your Streamlining has Failed in the past?
Thanks for watching! Have you made any of these budgeting mistakes?
I think I made all of these meal planning mistakes 😅 I am still in the learning phase but I really hope to get it figured out soon. I am a perfectionist and I have the tendency to want to have everything set and perfect the first time, and then I get super overwhelmed and I burn out :( Can you consider making a video about what to do when you feel burnt out or overwhelmed while trying to streamline? I have no children, only two cats, and me and my husband both work full time outside the home and I am having a hard time trying to streamline!
Don't worry, I've made them all too! Try to remember that done is better than perfect, that helped me a ton when I was getting things set up. I will definitely put that on my list of videos to make! I'm sure there are a lot of people who would find that helpful. Working outside the home is a lot of work, so don't be hard on yourself if you are struggling to streamline.
Thanks for watching! Have you made any of these Meal Planning Mistakes?
Your videos are really interesting but I hope you can generate good income from your channel if you monetize your channel and your channel views increase many times than before.
It's not possible for even a wife without kids to work outside the home and maintain the home all by herself either - the spouse either needs to be involved, or they'll need to agree to pay for a maid service! (I say this, as I am about to rope my own husband into helping me deep clean one of the bathrooms because hoo boy it needs it) Thanks for the clear explanations and the suggestions - specifically the point about decluttering first. Organizing and cleaning are two separate tasks, and it's so easy to want to jump right into the deep clean without doing the grunt work of tidying up first.
Thanks so much for your comment! It was well said!
Hello Kassy, I recently discovered your channel, "Making Time for Giggles," and I'm truly impressed by your mission to help others simplify and streamline their lives to reclaim valuable time for themselves. I specialise in editing youtube videos and would love to join the team as a freelancer. Recently I edited content for Azul which helped him grow to 127K subscribers on KZread. Mind if I send over a few times for a quick chat? Warm Regards Hammad
Yes, please talk about how to find your “enough”! 🙏🏻
Will do!
Oh my goodness, you guys! I completely forgot one of the BIGGEST reasons that Decluttering probably didn't work 🤦♀Can you figure out what it is??
Dear Madam I watch your every video very carefully but you are not monetizing your channel so you are not able to earn from your channel if you want I can help you and show you the right way to copy it.
Thank you 😊 ❤
You're welcome 😊
Not very helpful
Sorry to hear that, are you looking for help in a specific area?
Thanks for watching!
I love the idea of writing down how long each chore should take. It gives them a realistic amount of time that you expect it to get done. Meanwhile, kids think that EVERY chore is going to take all day. When you write it down, it takes the sting out of that belief.
So true!
Oh man, anyone want to count how many times I say "SO......" in this video 🤦♀😅 I guess that's what I get for creating the routine in real time as I was filming! What is on your weekly cleaning routine?! I'd love to hear your routines in the comments!⬇
Hahaha, didn’t notice at all! 🩷And thanks for all your great tips you always give in your videos! 🙏🏻
@@meganbrown2449 Glad it wasn't too distracting 😄You are very welcome!
I have 4 kiddos and their ages are 10,8,7 and 5. I have a hard time giving them all with the exception of the five year old an equal amount of chores that take about the same time. Since decluttering and stream lining my home there seems to be less to do which is amazing. I also have a hard time balancing the chores they do have along with our homeschool day. I have tried incentives to have chores done before school but that does not happen and once school is done it's pretty hard to real them back in to do chores especially when it's nice weather and all they want to do is be outside, any suggestions?
Yes, we do let the kids pick their own and I have to say it was a game changer! It's been incredibly helpful even for my older kids (8 - 15 years old).
Yes, so much easier than trying to convince them to do the chores that we pick! 😅
I want to know what you are doing on your video as far as the streamlining your home. I would love to know not being a sarcastic just get to the point. I have to get to work.
This is a "thank you" video for my subscribers, if you want to hear about streamlining, I have a lot of other videos that can help with that 😃 Here is one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dItnsJNwfKi3n5M.html
Thanks for all you do! And your hair looks really good!
Awe, thanks so much!
Haha, after I filmed and got these last 2 videos edited... I realized that I completely forgot to assign a chore (or write it down on the master list for that matter!) Can you figure out which one it is?😂 Also, just wanted to mention that one reason our morning routine is our longer one, is because we homeschool. If your kids go to school and/or you work outside the home, you may want to have their chores in the evening routine instead of the morning.
