My name is Kirk. I am an outdoor enthusiast, but like most people, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to experience everything I want to on my own or with my wife and 5 kids.
You may see videos of solo or family hikes on the Ice Age Trail, canoeing or camping on the St. Croix River, snowshoeing, rock climbing, or something else.
This channel is a way for me to be creative - with out all the editing. Most of my videos are shot on my iPhone X, Canon T6i, or Sony RX100 IV. I edit with my iPhone X or FCPX on a 27” iMac.
My business and how I make a loving is as a marketing consultant. I create digital products for clients, including websites, social media marketing, audio, video, and photography.
Outside of my business, I am a volunteer firefighter and serve as the Mayor of St. Croix Falls, WI. I may post Fire/Rescue videos or pubic events related to the city.

To Add A Word Of Caution, I Used This Method On 11 Radios: 1 Group A Of 6 Radios Would Clone To Each Other, One Group B Of 2 Radios Will Clone Each Other, 3 Individual Radios Will Not Clone From Any Radio, Nor Will The Group A & B Clone To Each Other. In Addition, While Trying To Clone 2 Of The Radios, They Had The EEprom Error After The Cloning Attempt. I Did Manage To Recover The Radios Via The CPS BUT Only After using A Aftermarket RIB And Cable, The USB Ribless Cable Would Not Work With The CPS To Recover This Error. All Of The Radios Are The Same Model, And It Made No Difference If The TANAPA Matched Or Not.

I live in California but I am from Saint Croix/Taylor’s falls area. I remember when the first WalMart came in. Ruined everything. This area was a pleasure to grow up as a child. I driving to the area in a few days and it breaks my heart to see it like this. When I left nothing was vacant.

Every radio has a specific cable and proprietary software. It is expensive. If you have the right cable and software, it should clone to other radios, but may have a different process. You may want to reach out to Motorola and ask for a local vendor that programs radios. I have used the local guy who programs the local LEO & Fire radios.
How sad that I had to go on Ebay to buy one of the best bread slicing guides I could find. This is a great product that was also sold with an electric knife, but is no longer available. Why?

Quick question: How do I factory reset my Motorola HT750?
A good question.. When cloning radios for a department, does the ID transfer also? Everyone has a separate ID number and do not want all the radios with the same ID.
I don’t recall a ID number on analog radios. That is more of a digital radio thing, where dispatch can see who is keying up.

I was able to program the LS, then clone other LS models. I could not clone any other models of HT1250s.

It is proprietary, so you will need to find a copy on eBay or search online. Motorola doesn’t technically allow unlicensed programming software. You can find it, but it may be questionable.

Hey Mr. Anderson what program is needed to actually program the radios
It is called Motorola CPS. It is a proprietary Motorola software that is specific to each model of radio. So, I can’t use my software for the HT1250/HT750 to program the XTS 2500 Digital radio. I found a copy online that I downloaded. That can be dangerous, because so many viruses are out there. Be careful. I tried it on an old computer that I only use for radio programming.

You need to Google the specific radio model and find out the CPS software required. It usually has a version number. Then Google the exact CPS software number. Look for reputable downloads. Be aware of viruses. That is all I got. Motorola is proprietary and doesn’t offer old software openly. Look for a local radio guy. Perhaps at a Ham Radio Club. They have guys that geek out and have all kinds of software laying around. That is all I got. Good luck!

Just bought a lot of 10 ht750 not programmed. If I buy the cloning cable and pick one of the 10 to be a master will I be able to program the other 9?
Yes. As long as they are all the same model number, you should be able to clone them from the one you programmed. I ran into issues programming a HT 1250 with a keyboard from a HT 1250 LS radio without a keyboard. All of the HT 1250 LS radios cloned fine.

Aaron Villela If you pull the battery, it is probably listed under there. Our county uses vhf, so that is what I bought. What are you using them for? You would usually know what you need before you buy, unless your using them for personal use, but beware, they are for frequencies that require an FCC license, whether for public safety, Ham radio, or GMRS. You can do FRS, but these output a higher frequency than the FCC allows. Check www.radioreference.com for local frequencies.
