I'm posting historic films and film clips from the rich history of workplace and environmental health and safety that can be helpful in understanding today's issues. These are primarily from government and industrial films created before 2000 and most are in the public domain. The films and clips discussed here are an excellent resources for teachers and for health and safety trainers. The films and clips can be very useful as triggers for discussions and to liven up training, especially the many refresher training required these days. For each film and clip, there is information on the original source, how the clip continues to be relevant and links to additional sources of information. Contact me at [email protected] for more information. I hope you find my channel interesting and useful.

It may seem bleak, but if we didn't have this then how would a generation of young men have killed each other in the mud?

It is scary to think what kind of stuff these types of factories have laying around. There was a trucking company here in Australia that had a yard that backed onto a major motorway. There was also a walk way running along side it that linked a bus stop to the road on th other side of the trucking company yard. One day I had to catch a bus to this particular bus stop to pick up a part for my car and as I walked past the back of the trucking company yard I noticed two pallets of 44 gallon steel drums stacked on top of each other. Twp of the bottom drums I noticed were leaking slot a whitish grew. Substance and I could smell this very acrid smell I've never smelt before. Not like acid bit differently. I called the fire brigade and they eventually came out and actually blocked off the four lane motorway and cleared the factory as they removed the chemicals. Hardly anything was said about it on the news and it wasn't long after the company moved. Where the drums sat I could clearly see dents in the concrete of about half an inch deep. If it wasn't acid what the heck was it🤔

We lived there over a year, worked at the hospital, my husband was electrician working at the construction of a new school at 1991. We have a wonderful memories. Our friend Gigi was taking us for hiking and gold search. Visiting Stewart big Glacier, Hyder Alaska and many more unforgettable places. I got pregnant there with my first son. He is 32 years old now. This town was like one big family. Remember that people didn’t locked their houses. Was so trusting and safe. Great Party every weekend at the restaurant owned by Ida, Derek and Tim( great people)

Doesn't seem that the EPA is in ANY WAY as responsive today. Now the sites sit and leak for decades as study after study after study is completed with NO ACTION. Look at the leaking uranium mines all over Navajo lands and the EPA's limp response for the indigenous people. They die of cancers and no one cares. No action takes place the EPA sits and watches all that contaminated soil blow around in the winds and no one cares like maybe the EPA did at its original inception.

Okay, we literally put cancer in our water, spray the sky with it and put cancer in our soil. So now we can breathe cancer, drink cancer and eat cancer from our food! And we send billions of dollars to cure cancer… come on! We are giving ourselves cancer! We are idiots! Now we are putting up the 5G towers everywhere to give ourselves synthetic radiation to make us get even sicker! We are so stupid!
