3 years ago I had plate and screws fitted when I broke my arm and shoulder!!! Surgeon did warn me before the op that I wouldn’t be able to do many things I normally would!!! As if the plate gets damaged etc it’s not a simple fix!!! It will always have a dull ache , be half restricted and very limited to what I can do!!!! It’s surprising how much something like this changes ur life!!!

I totally disagree with you on that , i myself had a humerus fracture ( upper arm) on 13/5/2022 had surgery after a week , o also had radial nerve injury , but i started physiotherapy and got some movement back , after that i started hitting gym 6 months post op , here i am today , deadlifting 220lbs + weight with plates and screws in my arm ,but yep u r right that it triggers dull ache sometimes...rest i can do everything i used to do before the accident

@@champaklalgada177 Everyone is different and has different outcomes! Fair play for heavy lifting again man. See I’m unable to do that because my shoulder easily dislocates and is not in the normal position as it should be, It’s much lower than it was before the injury that’s why I’m unable to do a lot of things…. Horrible dull ache tho isn’t it.

I"m 7 months post surgery and my fracture was pretty bad. I have 90% ROM and I'm doing almost everything that I did before. I still have work to do, but I'll be back to doing EVERYTHING that I was before. It's been a long road to recovery, but I will not stop rehab until I know that there is nothing more that I can do.

Thanks doc, my wife has another of these pesky Chalazion's in her upper eyelid. As a child growing up in Peru a quack excised one but went in through the front not behind the lid as is general practice, leaving her with a terrible visual scar. I have studied the procedure, gathered the clamp, 30G needle, #11 blade scalpel, 2.5 / 3mm Curette from China and prepared a 1% Lidocaine solution from powder I sourced and used previously from good old Poland for anesthetic. Why any one should ask? Because the health system is that bad in Australia, all GP's want to do is write prescriptions all day and tell you to piss off and live with what ever is your problem. Well it is either a bit of DIY home surgery for my girl by yours truly or take her to a VET to see if they might provide what should be basic human rights. Doctor's Nurses and Hospitals are a crock aren't they, glorified over paid hero's with chips on their shoulders. Perhaps I will upload the home surgery in the New Year, thanks again for the tips.
