Now Larry. He can play the most difficult Jazz Music in the world, but he's also one mean blues player too👍

I just ordered a set of Larry's hands. That's the only way to sound like him. (Now, if they could put his brain in a pedal...)

If it’s a 68 or 69 then it must be a 1” 9/16ths nut? Mine’s a 3 piece neck with a 68 serial number, must be early 69. No issues with nut width playability wise.

Thanks for the info! I was thinking, yes those ARE heavy-ish guages of strings... WAIT, but that's on a Gibson 'scale length' guitar! I'm mostly a Stratocaster player and I use 10's on IT. So to compensate on my Gibson guitars (so they don't feel like rubber bands), I go up to 11's... So really 10's on a Gibson (or Epiphone) would be like 09's on my Strat. I've been deep diving on the LC solo for Kid Charlemagne (at 2-18 in the song, not this video) (Steely Dan), and there are a LOT of bends. Doing the solo on a Strat (with 10's) IS a challenge. So now I'll try them on a Gibson (24.75" scale length as opposed to 25.5" on a Strat), strung with 10's... Should be a bit easier, riiiight?

The 2nd verse Travis starts adding that slap and pop on the bass making it more funk. So sick.

What effects is Larry using when he’s playing his one single note ( Sustain octave high frequency) example the song “ Emotion Wound us so “ I want that patch sound so badly
@gregorglasbruch6917 Жыл бұрын
Of course there is some reverb and maybe some delay in use. The main things to get this sound is a pretty loud amp in order to create feedback and a volume pedal which allows you to control the amount of gain and feedback.
