  No hard rock drummer can play the combinations and rhythms that Vinnie does. Polyrhythms are not part of a rock drummers repertoire. He can play extremely light as well, as evidenced by some of the orchestral things he plays on.

  @@eddy71454 yeah, there's just something about his choices that hits me way different than somebody like terri lynne, or mike clark. sounds more like hard rock than they do, to me.
