Welcome to my woodworking channel. I am a restoration carpenter and furniture maker, living in Holland. On my channel you can find videos about furniture making projects, decorated with inlay and marquetry. Marquetry is the art to create an image made of veneer.
You can also find woodworking videos about carpentry, as making doors, stairs and restoration projects.

Wow amazing
Thank you Jack ! 👍
Sorry if it's too much to ask, but how do you make the pieces fit together so well? I can't wrap my mind around it. Because if you saw the inlay and the hole for it together, wouldn't that leave the inlay smaller because of the thickness of your blade? You'd have to off set it somehow
The saw table is tilted a few degrees. This way the piece that has to be inlaid will get a wedge shape and will be a bit larger than the background. This way the saw thickness is eliminated and the piece will fit seamless.
Incredible craftmanship
Thank you !
Perfect 👍
Thank you !
Oh my, that is a lot of work! Beautiful detailed designs, ❤
Thank you very much Cynthia !

Hi Ronnie just love your work :) Can you please tell me what is that electric saw that you use to cut the venner? I have been cut my pieces by hand. I would love to have one of those saws. Thank you so much and please keep posting beautiful videos with your work and skills. Best regards, Phil
Hello Phil, thank you! The saw is a Hegner Polycut 3. There are more models from Hegner, it is just what you prefer. The blades I use are Pebeco 3.
Thank you so much for the quick reply. Have a great Wkd.@@ronnie_rozenga
Höchsten Respekt , alles wunderbar was für eine Präzision.
Thank you very much Alf !
Is the cabinet/card scraper, a section of old tenon saw?
No, it is an original card scraper. It has some tape on top to make it more comfortable in my hands.
@@ronnie_rozenga WOW! I did not expect a reply from the great man himself. Thankyou Ronnie.
@@LiamMcCann-fl1ps You're welcome Liam 😉
do you cut your own veneers? and to what thickness looks about 1/8? how long does it take you for each piece?
Hello sean, yes I cut my own veneers, the thickness is 3mm. I don't know what you mean with your last question.
@ronnie_rozenga Sorry, i mean for each furniture piece you create, how long does it take from start to finish.
@@seanrobinson203 The aquatic life cabinet took about 350 hours. The marquetry takes a lot of time to make
@ronnie_rozenga but it look brilliant i look forward to seeing new videos.

Thank you Dirk !
how much does a box like this cost?
I made this one for a friend, I did not count the hours.
theoretically if someone commissioned one from you what would you charge?@@ronnie_rozenga
I want to hug this cabinet, then kiss it and after that - marry it. I love it. It's cabinet from my best dreams. It's not for whisky, it's for my heart ❤️
Thank you very much ! That's a very kind response, very nice to hear you like it that much !
Incredible talent! Great video showing the procedure you use.
Thank you very much !
Beautiful work!
Thank you Gregg !
Amazing, i'm in awe of such craftsmanship! New sub!
Thank you very much !
nice blood blister. i just gave myself a huge one the other day after whacking my thumb with a mallet during a table glue up
Yes...this happens sometimes when you work with hand tools😁
Incredible craftsmanship
Thank you !
Awesome work
Thank you !
Wow
Thank you Matthew !
Hello Ronnie. Thanks for sharing your work. I make marquetry, only geometric, I want to learn to make flowers, animals, in general more complex designs. Do you have anything written by you? Or can you please recommend two or three essential books to improve marquetry. Thank you
Hello Camilo, I haven't written a book about marquetry. I would recommend books written bij Silas Kopf or Craig Vandall Stevens, they use the double bevel technique for making marquetry. Have fun !
Thank you very much you are very kind. I already bought the craig Vandall, now I'll save up for the other one.@@ronnie_rozenga
Excuse me. I would like to ask you another question. Can you recommend companies to buy marquetry supplies?@@ronnie_rozenga
@@camilolutier6173 I don't know what country you live in, here in the Netherlands I buy my tools at www.baptist.nl .
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you !
Великолепная работа
Thank you !
Can you tell me where you got your hand plane for your shooting board?
I bought the plane a few years ago at a store here in the Netherlands, called Baptist. I was lucky because it was the last one they had in stock. It is a Lie Nielsen no.9 Mitre plane, as far as I know they are no longer made and you can only find them second hand (for a hefty price....)
Thank you for your videos.
You're welcome Shane
Masterful!!!!!!
Thank you !
Amazing! Would love to see to see some more teaching style videos... where you share your thinking, approach, choices you make/tradeoffs, etc.
Thank you, I will do so in my next videos ! (It can take a while though..)
@@ronnie_rozenga Thanks! I would also be interested to know how you deal with the hole you pre drill for the blade.
@@anthonyvdh Most of the time the hole is hardly visible because the pieces are pressed in pretty tight. Is the hole still visible after glue- up, I make my own wood filler, using sanding dust from the correct wood mixed with Frencken Cellocol . After sanding the marquetry the repair is hardly visible.
Absolutely beautiful amazing work
Thank you Jim !
Stunning!
thank you very much !
Verbazingwekkend. Bedankt voor de video uit Canada.
Dankjewel ! Leuk dat je de video hebt gezien !
What thickness is the veneer you are using in the double bevel? also what size blade are you using on the scroll saw? And at what angle? The sawing of that initial was very impressive! The entire video is excellent. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you ! I normally use 3mm thick veneer, the blades are Pebeco 3, 130x0,8x0,34mm. With this veneer thickness and these saw blades, the table is tilded about 7 degrees. But you have to make some test pieces to find the exact angle.
Ziet er geweldig mooi uit. Fijn dat je na twee jaar weer een video hebt geplaatst. Ik heb mij gelijk geabonneerd.
Dankjewel ! Leuk dat je je geabonneerd hebt !
stunning!
Thank you !
Mind-blowing craftsmanship and attention to detail. Thank you for sharing with us.

New subscriber here. I usually don't but it's great to see a great craftsman. I work part-time at a local Woodcraft and we often cringe when someone says "I saw this on KZread." A lot of them out there, but you are the real deal. And great job on this project! Beautiful work!!!
Thank you very much Todd ! I am honored that you subscribed !
