Hi Mike.Great Channel New Subscriber here 😀 Being New To both Studio One 6 And Kontakt 7 I've managed the "Basics" so far : Recorded Vocals,Kontakt Instruments etc ! With My Korg X50. However really stuggling on how to record the "Progression" Loops Within Sunburst Acoustic( Kontakt 7) These loops are fantastic for giving you new ideas for new songs These loops are triggered from Kontakt's onscreen keyboard. I'm getting an Input signal On the Mixer, yet when I press record i'm getting no input signal to the track. I'm obviously doing something wrong but can't figure out what; Your advise would be greatly appreciated.

Do you ever separate drum parts into different tracks? And to do that, do you have to convert midi to audio?

I never had a use for Groups in this way, but today I thought I'd learn! Thanks for the video, Mike. I wonder if some aspects of Groups have been broken with recent releases (I'm using Pro 6.6.1). When I right click on the group (referenced at 6.18s in the video) I get the include/exclude list. However, when I click on items to exclude, it doesn't seem to have an effect and the grouping actions are all still active. Anyone else seeing this or am I perhaps doing something wrong? Cheers!

I like the process of creating patterns on the sequencer, but prefer a separate track for each drum sample because it's easier for me to edit and arrange. Is there a way to export each drum sample to a separate track directly from the sequencer? I haven't found one.

Wow! Great video. I am considering buying Native Instruments plugins. I was wondering how to integrate them into Studio One. Though I have much to learn, your video greatly jumpstarted my understanding.

My problem sounds silly, but I'm on a low budget because Hardware and Instruments could easily cost moon prizes here in Brasil. I'm very happy with my Epiphone ES-339 PRO and actually also with my Marshall Code 25, until I remembered that I also have an old MIDI Controller in the corner from the days before I emigrated from Europe. I also couldn't find any of the old Installers and Licencekeys of my stonage Cubase and Native Instruments softwares. Well, looking for a DAW I chose Cakewalk because it was for free, but actually Marshall doesn't provide their Modelling Amps with any ASIO driver and the ASIO for all did not work with the DAW. So I had almost a second latency when trying to record my guitar. Long story short, I decided to buy me and Audio Interface and decided for the Presonus Studio 24C for two reasons. It was affordable, got all I need and additionally came with the best Software Bundle. That's why I'm using Studio One Artist now with a lot of plugins which came also bundled.

Hey Mike, I really love your approach to videos and S1. I often times I like to flush out song ideas on my ipad. It's easy to get a song structure and decide if the basic song is worth pursuing. Used to do it in Garage Band - but now that logic is available for iPad - i do it that way and then transfer to Logic on my mac before exporting midi to S1. Honestly it's a tedious process. I wish presonus had a S1 ipad app. But in the meantime at least I don't use garageband on ipad anymore. It removes a step Thanks for all of your excellent content.

Sometimes VST synths or Kontakt instruments start sounding so dull and low quality whenever this feature is enabled.

Just started using Studio 1 and I'm having a plug in problem. For some reason Studio 1 recognizes plugin files which have a .dll extension but will not recognize a file with a .vst3 extention. Any body have an idea why this is happening?

Great video (as always)! What I find a bit irritating, is that Mix FX is not applied to tracks or buses that are receiving a sidechain signal. To me this seems like a bug in Studio One. I also noted that Mix FX is not applied to FX channels. That is probably by design, and is the first real difference between an FX channel and a bus that I have seen.

Great video, BUT, auto-punch wont work on my S1 even if I have all the settings as you show! What could I be missing? I do: 1. Enable autpunch 2. Tick "loop follows selection" 3. Highlight the area and set the loop. 4. Record-enable the track 5. Set the cursor in advance. When I start and then hit record it starts recording right away and not at the loop!

All studio one users should boycott the subscription service. The longtime users didn’t build their skill set and affinity around that greedy model. It’s not what presonus was built upon and it doesn’t represent the brand well.
