Skate Better

Skate Better

I give honest personal reviews of skateboarding products and upload trick tip videos to help serve the skate community.

I don’t pretend to be a advanced level skater- the clips I add are so you can see the product visually while being skated.

For reference- I skate each product about 2-3 times per week for at least 2 months before reviewing.

Thank you all for the love and support along the way- happy skating g’s.

Dude. I've never heard anyone articulate the turn difference between Venture/Thunder like you did, and god damn, it is SO spot on. Well done.

Thanks man! Great video! So, ordering them, they rank like this: *Lean needed to Turn:* (least to most) 1. Thunder (most responsive) 2. Indy 3. Venture (least responsive) *And over the Wheelbase:* (shortest to longest) 1. Indy 2. Thunder 3. Venture

@@Skatebetter Have you tried Destructo D1's? I think they turn a lot with nice lean, deeper than Thunders. Would be nice to compare wheelbite marks

I don’t skate but love new balance I have about 10 pairs of the miu collection 990s, 992s, 993s. I really like the light weight lower look of the 440 especially compared to my vans authentics who’s soles are super heavy and kinda hurt. I definitely plan on getting more.

this is cool but to take the attitude there's just all sorts of kickflips and this is how i do them and sometimes they rocket is...c'mon. :) being able to catch your flip tricks is not just another way to do them, it is the more advanced and correct way to do them..still working on it myself!

Haha i get what you’re saying- I’m not saying those two things are mutually exclusive. Just saying that I don’t have the best kickflips all the time, and that people do them differently (not related to proper technique). Hopefully that helps!

Best KF tutorial! I've watched so many and this one works. Especially the section explaining the various potentially successful flick types or styles. And I've never heard anyone discuss popping by kicking backwards against the tail to bring the board towards you to flick against... I have an extremely inconstant KF however I know every time I get a good one that somehow I've ninja kicked my pop foot back and away, which brings the board not only up, but back towards my crotch. This video also allowed me to use the word crotch in a comment which makes it even better! 😅 Edit: Oh! And I realized during this video that the steps are NOT... = "Pop&level>>(pause)>>Flick>>Catch>>Land" - It is actually = "Pop>>(pause)>>Level&Flick>>Catch>>Land"

I had decided on the thunder lights 2 for the trucks and this cemented that for me for sure. Have you tried/reviewed the powell dragons, F4s or the andy Anderson nano cubics? Was thinking of trying the dragons. I subbed 🤙🏻

Easily my favourite shoe the sb blazer mid. Such a good shoe. For the love of god Nike please stop with those stupid unfinished tongues truly horrible the odd pair has a normal tongue. My anthracite has summit white has and the black suade with dark gum foxing has too. Just better nowhere near a deal breaker for me.
