Me: make witch version of superman 64. GPT: Sure thing! Not so fun anymore, now is it??? 💀 Jokes aside, this is how AI should be used. The best product will come from humans using AI as a tool to bring their imagination to life. But AI will still reduce a team of like 600 code monkeys to a team of like 20 people and all those other people are gonna be out of jobs. Society and our governments need to adjust to this, AND FAST!

Water simulation is wayyy to demanding hardware-wise. Don't expect to see it in games if you want performance ok

another thing about sound is making it sound muffled when you’re underwater, like how you don’t completely hear the splash you make when you jump into water

by your logic every god awful blockades that are infront of us while developing a game the methods we use that doesn't need a nasa pc are lies take minecraft as an example, the billions of blocks are all "lies" it's all randomly generated in real time except the ores caves and surface structures if you don't consider new chunk renders nobody needs to know there is a void below just let us immerse with it

For your new game in terms of flying can you please incorporate the ability to flip manually when flying? There was an app called "chimeraland" where you could take a flying mount, and position it in a way that allowed you to be upside down and flip, if i wasnt so heart broken of the game ending i would have focused more on making videos of some of its unique features that will forever be lost. The gameplay was unique, it would be great if someone were to include some of those unique dynamics in the game, being able to flip and twirl when flying made the game so much more immersive.

I don't know, is water the biggest lie or is the camera the biggest lie? The illusion that our camera/view is moving when it's the only thing in the game that isn't moving.

the point to lose your stuff is to have a less dramatic death like a GameOver but still have it be scary cuz you could lose your stuff. and to make it less stressful you can go recover your stuff. but this after a while becomes a shore. in darksouls for example, you dont lose your items, you lose unspent XP/Gold, which you can get back but only have one shot. It's a shore, but its also no big deal. I think if your gonna lose something, the game should train you to not be attached to that thing you are losing, and have ways to prevent it. Darksouls you die so much that losing souls is no big deal. Maybe in your game you could have a pet that grows as you play, and when you die he leaves you or dies as well. Pet could save you from death by dieing for you. You would then have to find another pet and have it grow again to protect you once more from death. this is a pretty neat idea actually. you don't lose anything, but grow to care about the pet. Which is really just something to make you not want to die. maybe depending on the pet it gives you a passive or skill like a bird would save you from a death fall or allow you to fly on it, cat would die for you if you toke a death blow from magic (there's actually stories of witches using cats to take the negative effects of black magic for them). maybe you could have a pet that brings your stuff back but takes time. Or pay/cast pets to go fetch the stuff you lost

unity is loved but that love mainly comes from a flexible engine and all the support of the community. while the ceo's are greedy as fuck. we as humanity need to come to terms to really not support greedy ceo

Unless a game is built from the ground up with voxels water is technically just an outline with transparency and a slew of complex shaders and interactive physics.

Early versions of Skyrim didn't have the water splitview effect, so you could actually see what was under the water surface and all it's emptiness if you simply remained right at the surface layer where the camera splits... They eventually patched it, and I remember being impressed at how convincing the new effect looked. Because I got to see how it was BEFORE the effect, it made me appreciate how it looked AFTER.

Unity's UIUX was awkward, so I couldn't handle the tool properly, but seeing your tutorial allowed me to place it in the scene. Thank you for your help. I'm used to blueprint coding, so it's still difficult to implement interactions.

I'm more curious about your code for your character/player movement in that platform game. A recent tutorial I did used the physics engine and applied force to the rigidbody2D but that was NOT a good movement for platformers. Your game has excellent movement from what I saw and that is what I want to learn how to do properly.
