What are the sizes for those small lugs you used to hardwire those 3 wires to the inverter? Thanks
Hey, where did you go???
Where did you buy the fiberglass panel?
Damn it..wasted my time..didnt install in a van .😟😡
I love it! You did a great job. Thanks for sharing. I will be adding this to my truck camper.
May you never have to deal with the special hell that is Renogy's customer service.
That's not a circuit breaker it's a GFI for ground faults. 73
Pretty cool test- i would have thought it used way more- it opens up more possibilities for vanlifers.
Thanks so much for sharing this.
Have the Ko2s. Looks great. Runs smoother than I thought. But man the gas mileage suffered a good -5 mpg compared to stock tires on my half ton.
For the double light fixtures, I swapped them out with “CT CAPETRONIX RV Lights Interior 1700LM, 3 Color TEM Camper Lights”. They were about $10 each. 3 lites temp, dimmable, real nice option.
A word of caution for the lights with added usb charging capability. These are typically underwired for the current that charges your phone, can get hot/melt lead to a bad day.
I have had Torklift upper stableloads on my 2017 F350, 7 years and they are in great shape. Your upper overload spring is not designed to carry the whole load all of the time. If they are then you are definitely overweight.
The only mistake was not smrunning the slide in and out several times before putting the fabric retention screws in (Per the instructions). This lets the fabric end settle in its best position and minimizes the tendency for minor diagonal ripples over time.
You make no sense. It was too cold in your garage. Are you running in the wintertime or summer? So if it's cold in your garage, that's a good thing, right?
Great idea, but is there a reason why you didn’t spread the sawhorses space between the dually wider ( greater than 2” inches margin) so not to be so tight when you pull in and out with your truck?
Thank you
Great idea, will be my next project - want to be 100% sure my water storage is clean.
Im in the process of doing the same thing. So much more up and down work, time and money than expected. Looks like your doing a great job.
this will help me to get the job done
Love the ac unit video. How do you handle the condensation? Do you have any videos of the installation? I have a 1986 cab over pop up camper that I need to install a/c unit on… thanks for the videos…😊
Thanks for sharing! I like the free boondocking spot you found. Also, try the hike up to Heart Lake from Castle Lake (about 45 minutes up) and that will give you an even better view of Lassen AND Shasta!
I purchased second hand a 8' camper shell that had set on cross runners like this and found that the rear door had warped from sitting under a tree and the sun. The rear glass door would never close properly. I recommend storing a topper with 4 pads on the top of ceiling of topper.
Excellent video. Thank you
Only wish you had demonstrated it, just wondering how damaged yours were compared to mine. Great info though!
Great I need one to my jackery 1000❤
You did a great job!! I just wished you had showed more on how to physically use each product.. And what to use to apply it. Thank~you🌻
This is more efficient than an ecoflow air conditioner using dc...and a 3rd of the price. Both are at 5000 btu. Any body come up with a DIY hoses for these window ac?
So mine works but after about 20-30 seconds after stopping airflow the compressor kicks on for 1-2 seconds and then cuts off and continues Is this normal? I assumed it would stay off completely until I engaged air flow. Or is it just losing pressure somewhere?
Is there a way of just fixing the nob? Mine just spins and the lid won't open.
just the diy design i was looking for thanx
Everything buy from here on shall be as energy efficient as possible. Who knows what I want to bring for some off grid camping!
Dont keep telling us just show us
Going through a process of measuring, documenting construction, assembly methods used, sourcing of acceptable replacement materials, all would have been so much more helpful. The constant look how broke this is, becomes really distracting. Yup its all coming out would have been enough. Your rebuild talents must be such that you have faith in re-buildability.
Brilliant idea/mod. Well done! Happy camping! 😊
5000 btu ac draws only 5 amp ac. I think if you have 4 solar panels 1.2kw and 200 amp lithium batteries and keeping air cooling low probably get you 10-12 hours of use.
That's a great idea putting the A/C on a table with the window. Still blows hot air outside. May make the unit more efficient when indoor temperature lowers and the A/C sucks in cooler air.
And what type of inverter are you using
So the AC unit that you're using is a 5000 BTU Frigidaire?
What kind of aluminum deck do you have on the rear of your camper???
whats the difference between turning off the air compressor vs adding a pressure switch? cant i just turn off my compressor to see what psi im at?
Thank you. simple and cost effective.
I've changed the valve twice. Did everything in the video. Put a pressure regulator on hose & never need 1 for 3 years but was advised to once it started leaking. I kust put the second new valve on today & its still leaking
What do you use to glue the filon back on? It would be nice to find some adhesive that is consumer grade, not just commercial grade/hazmat.
Nice work
Where did you purchase the fiberglass to make your repair?
Thank you for the video sir
Do you have a video yet of the final instal and how you're collecting the condensation? Great video thanks!
Mine broke this weekend. I’m going to replace it with a flexible trap I think.
The early information on the website for vin I’d code was very helpful been getting all kinds of different info from people I work with at an auto auction where I bought a transport van to turn into an rv/ rolling art studio thanks
