  Whenever making spawn of any sort, you want to get all the ingredients to what is called "field capacity." Field capacity is just enough water in the substrate that when you have a small amount of the substrate in your palm and you give it a good squeeze, only a few drops of water come out of it. Make sure its not a handful and that you can easily squeeze it. you can always add gypsum to the substrate as well. It is Calcium Sulfate.

  Hola, muy interesantes todos tus vídeos, soy de México, creo que no está muy extendido el cultivo de Shiitakes por acá, pero estoy interesado en hacerlo. De no contar con esa herramienta tan rápida, qué otro procedimiento se puede hacer con articulos más comunes? Cuál usas tú? Después de haber inoculado el tronco cuanto tiendo tardan en desarrollarse los hongos? Y un tronco como ese, cuántos gramos de Shiitakes produce (fescos y/o secos)? Muchas preguntas!! Espero puedas responderlas, saludos!

  dust masks dont really help at all, they just prevent dust from coming in, they dont stop your breath from coming out or filter out contaminants in your breath. what you need is a surgical mask. btw horrible quality zomg

  @bambam567 you seriously goin to ask that about oyster mushrooms?...OYSTER MUSHROOMS! its gourmet and can be found in grocery stores and fine dining. you are a shame on the psilocybe community.

  @ultramegabob2 they didn't describe this too well. He's filling a cooking unit/bucket with saw dust for cooking over a fire that they'll put in the bottom of that can. You can usually get the saw dust for free.
