Things really were better back in the days where bowling was what we did on our Thursday men’s league, and mixed doubles with the wife on Saturday nights.

Too bad the series is not available for those 20+ years of outstanding programming. Looks like it was fun to see. Missed out.

This must've been one of the very last Bowling with the Champs episodes. I dont even think this was on Ch 4 anymore. In fact, Stoddard said Ch Twenty 4.

Field consisted of about 360 entrants. Today's elitist "pros" complain about having more than 62 entrants.

Douglas,,before you shoot your mouth off, know the facts. Our team at Erie Community College consisted of Bruce Minger, Tony Saccomanno ,Jim Duerr (me) , Tom Bogdan and Dan Eberl. Doug Farrell ( alternate) We carried 6 players. Coached by Kerm Helmer and assistant coach Ken Duke. Our team was ranked #1 in the country heading to the National Collegiate championships in 1978 sponsored by Pabst. Top 12 mens teams and top 12 women's teams were invited to the National tournament in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Hopefully, this opens your eyes. By the way, Dan and I were roommates at this tournament !!! Have a great day!
