Hi sid tou retrace tour way back if not what was your route to get back to the car park please

I have the exact same route planed but will make sure it is early in the year before the ferns are too high and in a dry spell as well. Canny walk that, cheers Alan

Well done for climbing Eagle Crag via the terraces , just a heads up you can continue up Green up Gill and fford the beck once you get to the moraines and then head up on a faint track to back of Eagle Crag and you come to a stile cross over the wall and voila you can gain Eagle Crag top really easy , great video
@burrianaUK8 ай бұрын
That sounds handy Tracey - it's not on the OS map, so could you let me know the approx contour line I need to be turning right at to head presumably NW up towards Pounsey Crag then Eagle please? :-)

Hi Ivan, Well done on ascending Eagle Crag up the nose. I did it last year in September, and went around the back as tbe Bracken was so high. I still have Ullscarf, Sergeant Mam and High Raise to do in the central fells, which will be a long day out with Gaiters on :0) Gteat video. Atb Andy H

Thanks Andy. Ullscarf from Sergeant Crag was horrible. I got 3 boot fulls! I remember thinking on the way down I need to get some gaiters. Cheers, Ivan

@@horsforthhe Hiya. Going up the nose was nowhere near as bad as I expected. The worse bit was the climb up through all the ferns, especially in the wet.

I've just done Eagle Crag (up the sccramble), Seargants Man, High Raise and Ullscarf today. Very boggy after Ullscarf and very steep on way down. Fab day though.

I always go up from Patterdale but all routes lead to the top and must admit I love Hartsop Village as well. Good to hear you watched my video of Place Fell, always been one of my favourite summits. Looked a nice walk up from the village and the weather seemed to be getting better the higher you went, as always the view down over Glenridding and Ullswater was awesome! Cheers Alan

Better weather than when I was last there but still brought back great good memories for me. We started on The Knott first but missed out Angletarn Pikes, which I have still not done yet buy funny enough we also did 10 miles as well. You were right that was Place Fell there and well worth a look up, one of the best views over Ullswater (imo) and a real nice summit cairn too. Cheers Alan

Thanks Alan. Place Fell might be next on the list although I watched your video on Ulloch Pike et al and I want to try to finish the Northern Fells this year and the thee on that ridge are on the list as well. Ivan
