I seriously doubt some of this analysis by Thrall. Palestinians have understood Israel’s intentions towards them for decades and blame that state in full for their past and present circumstances, even if they may not be happy with their leaders. Thrall’s assertion that the Palestinian authorities in Gaza did not fully expect this Israeli response after October are quite ridiculous. Even I realised immediately what would unfold based on the fanaticism that has taken hold in Israel over many years and the Dahiya doctrine.
